The problem will be when Ellie's route split on 3.Then he must do 3 completely different scenes-for Logan,for Ellie and for Sophia.
Also Dylan will be even bigger problem,because that doesn't affect only him.We are talking here also for Aiden's gang,Zack and Alyssa.He will need to make 2 completely independent routes/almost like 2 games/.
Soon most players will realy have small updates just because they are not on the route that is getting content.
It already happen in last 4-5 updates.
Par example in 0.080
If you don't have a date at the club and you are not on good wife route,the last update was realy small.
After all almost everyine don't follow some content.One don't like Sam,other Dylan,third Aiden or Alyssa.Some like only lesbian content,others don't want exactly the lesbian scenes.
Most have agreed that we don't like Liam
Good for me that besides him I'm OK with almost everyone else.Still too early to decide about Logan,Aiden and Bennett.

Its trust and safety after all. Not some bloody inquisitorial censorship or anything.He have a separate website right? But he is using patreon for money transactions i believe.
I have a doubt, Is patroning the only method for safe money transaction? If not, may be he can switch to some other mode of transaction. In that way the dev might have one less thing to worry about. Also, we can expect the updates a bit faster(may be).
I've suggested the exact same thing. There has to be another medium for supporting him. I have a bad feeling the entire premise of the game is now going to be compromised and ruined.
Seems he has done a lot of editing to his Patreon page - Deleting comments and teaser photos. In my opinion, it was pretty dumb to be putting out teaser images and allowing comments for things that could be interpreted or misconstrued. Afraid it is too late now....

A smart dev would have "de-incested" the game after the first time patreon police checked him out. And somewhere else a "fan" would have provided an incest patch. But we can assume for sure the release will now be not before september due to the additional amount of work.
Or just not flaunt it with teaser images on the page and he would have been fine. Baffling. But I can't believe for the life of me that Patreon is the only medium for which supporters could support his work each month. That would be the simple solution. Then proceed with the game as it as originally planned.
He is earning 5.5k at this point in time, which makes production of this game likely his main source of income. Shifting to another platform might lead to him losing supporters because most of the people pledging to similar games tend to do so on Patreon, and having everything on one platform makes it easier to keep track of what they are pledging for.
Unless Patreon does something similar to what Tumblr has done (porn strike across the board, which is unlikely but possible) and causes a massive migration of porn game devs to another dedicated platform, it is unlikely that many devs will take the risk to pioneer another platform.
The more likely solution would be for him to get in contact with Patreon staff to get rid of offensive content and providing 'fan patches' on discord/ forums like f95/ limit teaser images to discord.
Good points. I personally don't think it would be too confusing if there was an alternative platform to go to that link to support. You are probably right there might be an initial decrease in support - Guess a question would be how would there be visible traffic to lead people to the game to support (think for me it was seeing the demo on a "pirate" sight like this - doing a search of the game - and finding it on Patreon and becoming a supporter like I currently am). Not sure how that process for others would change if on a different platform.
