I understand where you're coming from, but factually man, this doesn't smell good at all. Don't worry, I know you're right and I agree with everything you said. Still, the " Grand Finale " he's so hyped about and which represented 30-35% at first, and now 25% of the whole update, will definitely take more than one month to be completed.
This type of situation displays (again) one of the two BIGGEST L&P's flaws, which is development speed. The first one being the blueballing linked to his storytelling which, objectively, became a total nonsense with the endless routes and overload of useless characters. Dude is skilled, very skilled, but the shadow of his stubbornness/perfectionism of not seeking help to delegate work tasks is what stops his game to become the ultimate adult VN ever created. Just my 2 cents.
That isn't actually his biggest flaw. If he would've stuck to the original scope of this update, which as the previous poster said was about 500 renders, LP would already be done with the rendering for this update. The update, if he'd stuck to that scope, would probably have been completed this month.
But it's not happening until August or even September because LP's biggest flaw is that he has never, ever been able to maintain scope. From everything to the sheer number of characters, routes and down to the number of renders in an update.
Just look at this update. It's pretty much 5-6 events. We're been calling them "segments" or whatever but really, they're events. The yoga, the dinner, the game, the movie, and whatever is next. All of these things are lengthy and developed enough to be events.
LP being on the slower end with development speed just makes his scope issues that much worse. He has to have a scene for every hour of the day, more or less. And these scenes cannot be simple, see his statement about Sophia and Dylan staying home as "boring". He always has to try to make things grand, and in his view, "erotic" or "realistic".
