The "warning" isn't required anymore to get the 2 final Dylan scenes.
I'm going to disagree with you on that.
I am enjoying almost all the routes and, for those who are not here for Sophia incest with Dylan, the Dylan/Marie Dylan/Ellie and/or Dylan/Christine encounters are of interest.
The issue for the last few years has come down to slow development time.
If L&P gave us two PD's/year, we would still not reach PD 30 complete before the RL year 2030, but everyone could see content they were looking forward to 'coming soon'.
The slow development time (which does not even include the time L&P will take working on a Steam release or other activities that further slow the development of AWAM) means we are not looking at PD 30 complete until some year > 2050.

Despite the harsh tone, I agree with him. He didn't say "make your own game, instead of complaining", he said "make your own game and see how much time it really takes".
That's exactly what I said before the update. It's totally normal to think it shouldn't take much time. Like you said, Renpy is very accessible. But in reality, everything always takes a lot of time when you crawl through the code. And it seems you can only really feel it by experiencing it.
For the sake of science, I measured the time I spent on this update. It took me around 7 hours, and some time more after the release. And during this time, I didn't even have time to carefully read the dialogs... It takes time.
But maybe I'm the slowest guy in the world, and maybe those "couple hours" guys should apply to L&P
Agree, slow burn is rather beneficial in my opinion. But those short updates should come at least every 2month.

I thought it was a very good update:
Pro's:
Renders were well done, especially the jacuzzi scene with the water effects.
The script was consistent with a Sophia who was trying to justify intimate time with Dylan while doubting herself - along with the 'alcohol made it ok.'
There was unexpected adult honesty where Sophia confided in Dylan that she and Liam were rarely intimate and that he is not making the effort to remind her that she is important to him - This was one of the breakthroughs in intimacy between Sophia and Dylan.
This was the first time that Sophia took the initiative in physical intimacy - she gave Dylan a hj. (Yes - part of her reasoning was to prevent him from giving her an orgasm so that she could hide how sexual this had become for her, but Sophia was an active participant in her first sexual act not involving Liam).
The fact that Sophia told Dylan that he is bigger than his father will, hopefully, be used by L&P in future introspection when Sophia is thinking about her 'date' with Dylan.
Cons:
AWAM is no longer an immersive story - it is now, at best, a series of high-quality vignettes taken from the life of Sophia Parker and her family.
The back-to-back Sophia/Sam then Sophia/Dylan intimacy becomes less special since Sophia's actions make it seem like neither guy is truly special, and she just enjoys the attention of different males since Liam can't be bothered.
The slow development makes some story arcs feel dated and distant - like the Sophia/Ellie story arc (which will not see a planned update for several more years RL).
Finally - a quality update like this, and one of only 3 released this year, reminds me of both the early promise that AWAM held and how unlikely I am to ever see a completed AWAM.

Christine's Party I'm guessing or nothing if Dylan misses the party to take mommy on a date.
There are two games: "Wife and Mother" and "Miriam". Frankly speaking, these games are absolutely identical in their structure, but they have gone in two radically different ways. Wife and mother is a more elaborate story without sex, well, almost. As a porn game, it is COMPLETELY a failure, and without it it is better to go play other games. The very highlight of the games with the corruption of the character is lost - what is interesting about turning a pervert into a whore or a whore into a pervert? Just don't say that Sofia is not like that)))) She's a complete whore from the very beginning of the game. 2 games - A smooth game with 100 years of waiting or a quick whore-sim. 2 stories - 2 whores. BUT, Miriam's story is a porn game. Sofia's story is about milking suckers. Sofia is a complete whore here, worse than those who in other games give everyone in 10 minutes. It is the sponsors of the suckers who are to blame for the fact that the game is not progressing.

I mean, 7 hours are a couple of hours, wouldn't you say? At least compared to whole days.
And if I read the current argument correctly, it was something like they had 20% progress a day during the check for the release. Which certainly sounds like more than 7 hours.
The thing is, if you like the game, that's great. I do too (not all routes mind you, anything apart from the strictly lesbian stuff isn't my cup with a female MC), otherwise I wouldn't play it. And there are definitely people overdoing it with the criticism and the personal attacks, but OTOH so many people just have the gut reaction to aggressively defend stuff they like, which is something that I also find annoying, especially if I catch myself doing it (just a stupid human, making mistakes like everyone else here, but open about it).
Sometimes it feels so weird, because people don't seem to understand that there's a difference between criticizing someone, even harshly, and insulting and attacking someone, calling them liar and fraud and milker (if you make any of these claims, you should better be sure you have ground to stand on IMO) and putting pressure on them to make the game like you want them to.
I am fine with the former, even think it's important for a creator of any form to receive such criticism and accept it, but absolutely loathe the other.
That's a very interesting voting poll, do you have the one before this as well?
Curious how/what shifted in between votes (if anything).
It's also interesting to see that most of the people that give L&P money want to see Sofia with kids. At the top two being the incest and next 3 being the other important kid events in her life (with Aiden's one being the less kid-like because of the nature of their relationship).
I would be curious to see how a voting on this thread would go, from anybody/everybody that plays the game compared to who is still willing to pay for it.

It was only "my" time. There is L&P's too.
And it wasn't 20% a day. There were 35% on friday and the rest on saturday.
Wow quite some big changes. Ellie got almost double the votes but it makes sense since it's been longer and longer without content for her.
However, the subway thugs got a very big increase in percentage, while carl got a lot of vote out of nowhere/nothing before.
Amber (have to admit, not sure who Amber is. Sam's mom?) and Alyssa decreased a lot in percentage as well, compared to the last one.
And Aiden and Ava's children are extremely constant which in my eyes means they kind of have their own supporters that want that content and don't care so much about the rest.
It is a colorful chart, but the lack of detail makes it, at best, an incomplete & qualitative picture.
To go with your point - Emma's cumulative number wasn't good enough for her event to stay, so let's follow that logic and drop any events involving the following because they have cumulative numbers near or below Emma's (since this is all about helping L&P to 'cut the fat and speed up development'). This does not just include the 5 women at the end of the poll, it includes:

It's nothing that affects the story, right?
I understand the frustration with the slow development but cutting content is very often a recommendation of those who don't care about that content and those who do can just deal with it...

The college guys are not mentioned in the above poll at all - yet we are still taking time for a one-off event with them... Why?

I honestly don't understand why L&P made Dylan put his boxers back in the tub; all the subsequent scenes could still take place with Dylan without his boxer shorts, on the contrary, Sophia's thoughts could be more amplified by the sensation of his cock on her skin.

And the voting shows that those routes have decreasing interest.
They are not important to the story because this is or at least should be Sofia's story and what Dylan does with the girls is not important to see. Stuff can still happen, if L&P considers Dylan getting some experience with others girls influences his relationship with Sofia but why do we have to see it? 5-10 renders at most to show some stuff happened and he got experience is more than enough, and let the focus be on Sofia.
