The way the question is posed probably makes the difference here. People don't like giving things up. What some more might find quite good is to get the following update sooner. So one question should be “Would you rather get the side quests later as DLC and continue with the main story faster now?”

Is he seriously thinking about continuing this supposed " one shot event" ? Those useless side-events and useless side-characters are THE MAIN REASON why the main story is taking ages to progress. But "night at the museum" is a wasted opportunity
One of the paths is Patrica and Sophia... hanging out with the college boys and things getting interesting between Patricia/Sophia and then the boys (My universal TWO-fer win-win thinking). The sisters would have a shared secret of with they did to each other and the college kids behind their husbands' backs
