Hmm... I believe he was unsure whether he could release the full version with all the AI animations by October 1st, but he ultimately did. However, someone with more insight can clarify this. Bibifoc ?


And also he has new post on his subscribestar page, which might be related to this and future updates.

In the end, there was no beta. So nothing more to come about this release.
