Something that could be described as odd, is the number of porn fans who think that porn, by it's very nature, HAS to be trash. I don't give a fuck if this sounds snobby but they should read some good classic porn novels, or watch a well-acted porn film. These things may be somewhat rare, especially nowadays but they've been around a long time & still exist. Current porn quality is so bad that whole generations seem to think that's all there's ever been. Why else would comments such as we find on this thread advise AWAM followers to curb their expectations of what is 'just a porn game?' Do porn fans get the trash they deserve? Is that why AWAM dumbed down to match the rest of the rubbish out there? Is there absolutely no place whatsoever in Beavis & Butthead world for anything else? Really?
AWAM began as an erotic VN, promising realism & class. It had both, at first, combined with what were the best renders in the business at the time. I don't think L&P was being dishonest in his claims to these. Forget about the delay, slowburn, or whatever is the truth or otherwise of lucrative milking, team/no team, moving goalposts etc. Why he chose to go to the opposite extremes is the real question. I have my own thoughts on that but the sad fact is, "that it is what it is" & there's no coming back from that.
Before some sycophant tells me to 'sod off & find something else,' 'stop "whining,"' 'make my own game,' or any of the other well-worn, tediously repetitive phrases designed to shut down discussion on a "discussion thread," I'll say truthfully that I've heard it all & far worse, before. They have zero effect.
