Regarding the render farm, no surprises.I told him about the render farm idea last year, and L&P said it wouldn't work for him and left his statement like that with no further explanation. So a Render farm is off the table for him. You can also try to talk to him again about help until you're blue in the face, but that too will most likely not happen since he already made it clear in his statement.
Also; The time for changes should of happen about 2 to 3 years ago, where the game was in its infant stages. This would have allowed him to put the game in a manageable state that one person would have been able to handle with ease, but since we are already this far into the game 3 gameday/5 years (projection) from the halfway point, He could adjust some text like the narration as someone said earlier, but in order for him to make major changes to the text and other parts of the game like the story, I would say he would have to do a full reboot of the game.
As for development, I don't think anyone needs to handle the development (in terms of renders) of the game itself except L&P but he could benefit a lot from bringing someone with some knowledge in daz and photoshop that would put the next version always on the right track according to L&Ps needs.
His (L&P) development would then consist of grabing all the assets already organized and then do his magic on Daz in the environments that were already 95% done (im sure L&P would do some changes in the end but not a full scenario).
Once scene is over and rendered, edit them in photoshop or teach the assistant what to look for, what presets to use and have the assistant edit the renders.
It's just an assistant, exactly what he said he would look into hiring in that 100% completed patreon goal, no need of major overhaul in the game.
Regarding the dialogue and introduction of new stuff, the code seems simple enough for an experienced dev to come in and make changes easily.
