The idea (if I have it right, since it's not mine), is that Patricia would be secretly working for Don Morello.

Patricia resolving the blackmail herself would just be what it is now - sending Dylan to boarding school and letting Carl's lawyers handle it.

There's no actual need for that. There wouldn't be any unnecessary expenditure of time & effort in RL, over & above what was required to get the desired result. Remember Morello's soldiers are experienced professionals. So, unless we're about to see some unrealistic drama, which is always a possibility, I'll be disappointed if this happens. Ordinary threats, possible physical manhandling & well-chosen language should suffice. Who knows, the Dev might decide to please the Aiden haters as there's nothing to lose by it now that the route is ending for some fans....except realism.

All this white knight style desire for revenge is almost touching in it's way. Does it speak to a deeply held sense of old-fashioned chivalry, or is it just a result of too many "wham, splat, pow" games? Personally, I'm really looking forward to the Don Morello solution whatever happens, not because I've chosen it but because the anti-blackmail lobby will have to find some other aspect of the VN to ride.

Well spotted. It never ceases to amaze me how some fans are so consumed with anti-blackmail sentiment that they sincerely think enlisting the help of the Mafia is a "comfortable solution." It's not a case of "jumping from the frying pan into the fire", more a case of plunging headfirst into the flames of Hades.

Well spotted. It never ceases to amaze me how some fans are so consumed with anti-blackmail sentiment that they sincerely think enlisting the help of the Mafia is a "comfortable solution." It's not a case of "jumping from the frying pan into the fire", more a case of plunging headfirst into the flames of Hades.

Kinda why for me, the "comfortable solution" is actually to say fuck off to Aiden right at the beginning and let Carl handle it, who so far is more than happy to, just for shits and giggles.

That said, for me, it's pretty weak blackmail anyway, since Sophia hasn't done anything wrong in the first place. I tried the blackmail route in DDoS a while back, since the opportunity arises for the MC to help someone cheat on an essay. For which the blackmailer (Ms Harper) threatens to kick both characters out of school for academic misconduct. So very real consequences for the MC in refusal of the blackmail, even if the content is still better at the moment.

The blackmail is not about something Sophia did, it's about protecting Dylan to get physically hurt and beaten. This is not something weak for a mother.

Can someone explain to me how has the development speed increased. 140 renders = 5 weeks; last update 514 renders 22 weeks. Seriously I really like to know your train of thoughts on the claim that the pace has increased. What’s really the endgame here 15 to 30 years? We are 6 months in and barely 20% of a single playable day has been developed.

You cannot count it this way. It depends on the scene and how the renders have been created and used. Last update from the 514 renders, around 70 were used for animation frames. Here all 140 renders are actual scene renders and the animations aren't counted as renders. Otherwise it'd be around 400. Plus the alternative scene with Morello's boys contains up to 16 characters which of course complicates the work! And that I put especially much effort into the art which is time consuming as well, I guess you know.

If he finds the 16 characters difficult maybe he shouldnt put so many because he is doing his job harder and in conclusion making less renders
