Except that those of us that are being critical aren't saying that we could do it better job. If I'm talking about how bloated this playable day has become, it's in comparison to previous updates. I really don't see why L&P can budget for say a Dylan/Emma event, or an Ellie event, and make it in a timely manner, but an Aiden event is allowed to balloon to three times budget.
When we say that L&P is getting slower, it's compared to what he's done in the past. He's gone from around 9 renders/day five years ago to around 3 at the moment. He himself can and has worked faster, when he had less assets and experience.
I don't need to have experience myself. I'm no writer. But there are other devs that do have the experience. And that's where I put my money. I don't need to be a game dev for that.
Guys, you may have noticed that lately I have become less likely to comment on this branch, on branches dedicated to other games I do not leave my comments at all.Anyone with a basic knowledge of maths can see that L&P underestimated the timeframe of his project. You don't have to be a game developer to understand that. Especially because the way L&P is programming is quite simple (just a very very long spaghetti code).
Also, It is important to recognise that L&P has no finished project to show. If there were two or three finished games, then you could say that L&P really knows how to finish something like that. But there are not. One thing is clear: The remaining development time needs to be reduced to an at least halfway reasonable level for the project to have a realistic chance of ever being completed. As long as that doesn't happen, there will always be people who point out that something is wrong.
I am interested in discussing the game, its plot, reading various analytical calculations of fans, but I do not support those who continue to say one thing for years, telling L&P what to do.
Whether you want to admit it or not, but the plot moves on, L&P continues to do what he likes and how he wants to do it. This does not mean that I am against criticism of the developer and I understand all your comments, but it seems to me that repeating the same thing over and over again is not worth it, there is no point in it.
In addition, my comment above, which palmface received from you, is completely fair. I have been on this forum for a long time and I see a lot of specialists giving instructions and recommendations to L& P on how to create his own game. But there are practically no people among these people who do it better than L&P. This is a fact, whether you like it or not.
Best wishes to all AWAM lovers.
