I actually believe the opposite. IMO the best movies (or works of art) were created by people who did exactly what they wanted... and who were not listening to criticism.
Oh, you mean like Star Wars Last Jedi, or the latest Hellraiser movie? How about the latest Saw movie? This is why we NEED critics.

Except this dev caved to the pressure and promised to change the game for his critics. His patron count flat-lined last month and maybe he got desperate.

and if only the movies were made that are demanded by a loud crowd, we all been watching Disney movies and wouldn't have porn.
I m not saying when you dont listen to criticisms you only get good movies lol. Please think a bit before answering. But Star Wars ep4, 2001 Space Odyssey or Alien are few examples from a very long list. When you listen to critics and want to please everybody you get Disney Marvel etc..
Of course every director makes a movie by their own ideology, critics come after. But i'm sure they won't repeat the same mistake that were criticized about in their next movie. that's the whole point.

Lots or dialog, lots of great images but.. 2.5 GB and not even a handjob? It's a little disappointing to say the least.

And that is your opinion, which I can only applaud, but call me a sucker I like a bit of change. So yes even if it's a bit of a Lifetime movie or even Days of our lives
. I don't mind it. Yes sure it is slow and going on steady, but this game grabbed me within the opening minutes. If I need a bit more I just change the channel to Game of Thrones (read Dreams of Desire/SOB/Family Live which I love), or just Gotham (say Solvalley utterly weird but great fun), which while I am still watching it I can't find any redeeming reason to do so. Not everything has to be full speed ahead.Edit added some games to which to some decree add content like the shows I talked about.
Second edit, maybe I am just getting old but I will give a show I haven't seen more than just 10 minutes.

From porn games to burgers to sci fi movies. lol. i could give a flying frak what the dev puts in his/her game. they are either going to cater to there own wants, or the wants of whoever is paying the bills. I'll try about every genre, the more taboo the better (fyi- not a fan of poo or feet). everyone has their own thing, i just hate when a good idea is wasted because the mechanics of a game suk like lag and errors and what not.
The dev is too in love with himself and his work. Is like a speaker who likes his voice so much that he talks for hours without saying anything interesting. The renders are pretty good, but there are a lot unnecessaries (from going to the door of the bathroom to sit in the toilet, like 5 or 6 renders, for example) and about 75% of the text is dull and also unnecesary. I like realistic characters and slow-boiling stories, but this game is ridiculous.

I do agree in this.. I wish that ppl would be more like this towards my game.. because at the moment.. most are just saying it is good.. (Yeah.. think I would earn more then 90 dollars if it was good) if creators dont get feedbacks.. they will not get any better.. A mother and wife.. is one of the best games I've play'd.. but it had alot more potential then it showing for now..
The renders are good. Main character is hot. But there isn't much to see at all in term of sexy content.
I'm all for a slow burning story and teasing, but not even seeing a naked boob after 1000+ (I didn't count then) renders feel a bit like a carrot on a string hanging in front of me. I mean the shower scene for example would be a perfect normal situation to show off a bit of boobs in a non sexual way even.
I caught myself getting bored. It sometimes feels like someone is narrating the sims while someone else is playing.
There are so many scene's that describe simple every day activity's in such great detail, but in mine opinion do not add much to the overall story. For example getting the haircut, the guitar scene and a lot of other scenes with everyday activities.
I think it could be a better game if these kind of scenes were cut back to their bare essentials that would save a lot of the devs time and would barely have any impact on the story.
Of course it's not up to me or anyone else. It's eventually the develops choice how to develop his game.

Agreed it is up to the developer and I can only respect his decisions for once we get a game with some nice world building instead of going straight to some sex scene which just seems out of place. So I wouldn't want any scenes to be cut back, yes the pace is slow but I really am digging this game.
Yes but I m more speaking of how creators betray there own ideology and follow the global trends to avoid critics. This game is a good example of how you get pressure when you do something a bit different...
I'm putting this on the back burner till it's complete or some serious progress is made. The Dev talks a big game while shitting on other devs but he hasn't delivered jack shit.
