His update schedule has not gotten much longer, but his content has dwindled with each release..

He went from releasing a playable day per update, to 1/3 of a day per update, to 1 event per update.

The estimated completion went from 2020, to 2036, to 2058. Even L&P had to admit that it will take him more than a decade, now.
..and as people have pointed out, technology will advance and he will need to continuously UPGRADE his game. In 2017, animations were sparse, now they are widespread... which takes more time.

What you are mistaking is that his speed is the same the size of the events has increased.

Previously he could do an entire day in 500 renders, now 500 renders is 1/5th of a day. He can still make 500 renders in the same time. But the days have gotten longer.

I totally agree . What makes this game special is the slowly erotic realistic approach.
As for the updates it's good that we are having new updates every 3 months now, hope we can have every two months but quality must comes first always.

Just a few lines above what you quoted, I wrote I would like quicker updates too. But now the big question, what can I do to get faster updates. Absolutely nothing. It is a fact. The update comes only if and when he makes it.

The whole project is running on the whim of a single man. Suppose tomorrow he wakes up and decides he doesn't want to do this anymore. Can I do anything to convince him to stay. Not at all. So i have resigned myself to the idea that this game can end on any given day. If I am getting update, Fine. If not then that's that. Abusing him, calling him names etc will do nothing.

L&P also knows people want faster updates, what has he done to give a update in unexpectedly less time. Nothing whatsoever. So in my eyes, it is fruitless to keep whining about the same thing even when I know I can't change a thing.

Games aren't just all about sex you know. It's a visual story. Telling a story. A game that just has sex in it all the time and little narrative grows old FAST. A Mothers Love took like 8 updates and over 2 years to get it's first sex scene. You want sex right a way log onto Xhamster or Pornhub lol.

Pardon me, but your argumentation is a bucket load of rubbish. "Acting Lessons", "Deliverance", "Good girl gone Bad", "Tonie wanna get married", "Revenge for Jessika", "Love Change", Elsas Nightmares" are just a couple of great porn games, most of them slow burn with multiple choices which matter for the story, which were started around the time of AWAM or even later, but these games are now finished and complete!
"Pale Carnations", "Interns of Extasy Island", "Our Red String", "Midlife Crisis", "Rebirth", "New Earth", "Free Pass" are a couple of games, which are really great quality games, which have started later than AWAM, but will be completed in the next couple years and despite them being slow burns!
AWAM on the other hand will be finished in the 2050s at current speed! Many of us won´t even be here anymore by that time. Think just one moment about that number. Not a couple years, not 5 years or so, but over 30 bloody years! If you believe for one moment that this is sustainable, I have a very nice house in Kiruna to show you. I promise you a fair price, you will love it. It is very much slow burn until the mining operations will meet you.

Spraking as a fan of the game, I know I have occasionally ranted with my personal frustration of the game. It made me personally feel better for a few minutes, but as someone who get's the game for free on a pirate site (I made the decision NOT to subscribe to his Patreon because of the previous slow update and development speed), it would have no other effect.

So you can express your frustation twice, ten times, twenty times, fifty times, hundred times.....
Still no effect..... So after a while CONTINUAL expressions of frustation just become spam.....

I was nt one of those who complained about the lack of animations. I am not bothered about animiations. I just want to see great renders telling a great story told as quick as possible. So I expressed frustation about this delay to the next update (V0.155) just because some kids/trolls whined that they wanted animations. But L&P has decided to listen to the kids/trolls and is giving us animations, which has delayed the release of this next update V0.155.

I just have to wait and hope that he cracks on with his renders for the following (V0.160) update, that the person who is doing these animations sticks around and the resulting update is finished as quickly as he is currently promissing. But in the meantime there is nothing to do but find other VN/games to read/play.....
