I NEVER seen so many replyies to any Patreon post.
You can literaly spend a whole day just reading through them all, and they keep comming.
If that doesnt show how many people are DEEPLY intrested into this game, then nothing does.
he is earning almost 5k...just 4k less than my wage
but for sure more than a average payroll..a good reason to continue his job...

Artistic and Story plans and game development schedue are 2 diffrent things.You realise that he don't stick to the plan,right?The plan was to finish the game in 3 and a half-4 years.That won't happen no matter what he said.Last update takes 50 days for 2 big events,1 small and 2 miniatures with 3-4 renders.Next one is 4 big events and no it won't take 35 days like someone was dreaming here
We are worry because we saw plenty of examples when devs abandon their game because they don't get enough money.BTW if he realy do that this will be one of the game with biggest support to be abandoned.Usualy so far the game with around and less than 1000$ get axed.
Ofc he cant keep up with development. All project are like that, you loose some of the enthusisasm as you go about the project longer.
I share your concerns about the game becoming to big, to spread for its own good, with too many plotlines and choices, I allready noticed that problem in first 2 releases. And I warned him from making too many story spliting events.
How he will handle it in the end is uncertain, but it will become compleatly unsustainable at some point if he tries to go into compleatly branching storylines. So I expect him to do what every other branching game dev did before. Make the big choices in the end meaningless - still leading to the same core story with just blocking access to some scenes if you made one choice or another.
And it is allready happening. Like for the people that didnt go far into Sam storyline, they only got like a half update this time arround.
I suspect it will continue this way.

I have read some. And man do they support him. . Where discuss normal about the game. Honest opinions. Much less complaining and whining. Just like a few does that here.

, though many of the comments are against or do not like the blackmail route with Aiden, or the slow release of the updates or the lack of sex and nudity so there is enough complaining over there too...I like games like this. Good story and not to fast with sexscenes. Intresting. That is more realistic then: "Oh come to mummy boy we fuck the first time!" or "Hi...Sexscene...Bye"
But i think only the losers are the haters here. I think was the same before one year wit DMD. So many players are angry with Mr.Dots. And someone says: "Make it better..." and so many players created here own games with fast sexscenes and in poor quality with no patreons. A good wine needs time. ;-)

Now we have way more people investing in porn games than 2017.And 10-20 times more games of course.
Hell I still remember DMD 0.0.1 back in september 2016.Then it was like 20 people commenting.Not to mention november 2015 when I play SU for the first time.I needed a month to find a forum to discuss the game.

It seems to me that he is not thinking big or long term, his arrogance in thinking that no other person is capable enough to help him can end up ruining everything. If he wants to make this hobbie (create VN) a real job, he should gradually start forming a work team, that way he can finish this novel in less time than expected and start with other more, otherwise it is quite likely that he will stagnate with the current novel, there are many people willing to support him and his vision as to the concept and plot of visual novels seems great to me. I hope that he will reconsider and continue with his vision of the game and that what has happened is just a stumble.

Films are just Films.
It's real life that matters because the developer says he makes a realistic VN.
Also this stuff only happens if you make her do it. By the same logic you can make anything happen as long as the option is given.

I hope he doesn't drop the novel at least before Sam gets to fuck her. Anyway, the only annoying thing for me are the slow updates, I like the whole story and slow corruption.
