You're assuming it's all about the scenes, but it's not. It's about the story. Personally I'm enjoying the growth of Ellie as a character. For some, for example, it's the corruption of Sophia, whether it be by Aiden, Bennett, Morello, whoever.
If we wanted something that was just scenes, tied together with a little story, that's just porn, and there are other sites for that like pornhub.

It's popular because there isn't that many scenes. In 3yrs this story has really gone nowhere. But we like the art and are just hanging on, WAITING for the artist to stop teasing the hardcore incest and actually do it.
It´s popular because it is an very well done erotic story of corruption. And the art is extremly good and the MC Sophia is more appealing and more beautiful than the generic girls you see on the other games, like the ones in Deliverance for instance just to give an example.
It´s a slow burn, with already many softcore scenes and at least 3 hardcore ones.

It's not really that popular.After all the game is almost 40 months old.Other contenders are mostly way younger,don't have updates from a long time,completed or abandoned.Only 6-7 games from the top 100 are older than AWAM and still ongoing.
Also before 2017 there is barely any recognition of the games,leading to almost no interest.Not to mention F95 was created sept 2016.Way after the start of some of the games.

Hi, the story and the art were the reasons that I had been originally captivated to AWAM but afterwards the intentionally extremely slow progression and opening of not realistic and pointless story lines pushed me out of the game play. I still keep an eye as I prefer adult games or comics than porn which in my opinion is boring.

I don't have a link because I canceled my support after last month. I'll renew my membership after the next release, but I can't justify an open ended commitment when releases are so sporadic. But why would you want Decisions of a Life (That's the correct name, Lessons of a Life was incorrect)? It's just a censored version of AWAM. Are there elements of AWAM that make you uncomfortable? If so ok, I just hope you know that Decisions of a life is not a separate game.

You don't get that the game is here way longer than 99% of other games.So that alone give it much more time to gather popularity.BADIK is for example really popular game,because it is with almost same popularity for 2 and a half less time in development.Or WVM or Radiant or What a Legend.Or even the fucking BB-it gather almost all of the views for only 13 months.Yeah it's so "unpopular" every day some new person comes in whining about when the next update will be

Except that AWAM isn't so much about what scenes are in the game, but the potential scenes. I think people are looking forward to this update (and we've had less complaints because they think this will be a lesbian update), because of what the prison event will entail - a powerful figure that could make Sophia homeless (even for those on the GW route) - there is the potential for further corruption of Sophia.
Which might be (since I can't speak for others) why people are being impatient and want the update ASAP. Because they want scenes that are coming up, and are less focused on what the game already has.

Length of time does not make a game popular. You could have a game on here for 50 years, but if it sucks ass no one will give it the time of day. It comes down to the dedication the developer puts into it and not just how many sex scenes are in it. Sex scenes are a dime a dozen. Without context they are at most a flash in the pan and quickly forgotten and soon so is the game. What lingers on is how memorable the story is to the players. Look at Acting Lessons. People love it and people hate it but they still talk about it to this day.

Most of that has actually been confirmed, like the Twist being removed, and that Dylan can end up with Emma, Marie and possibly Amber (on the boarding school route). About Ellie and Patricia is a load of crap, for the simple reason in that they have too much to lose, and there's no point. For Ellie she's into older, popular guys that increase her status as a cheerleader, for which Dylan is neither. If Ellie was to be romantically involved with the pygmy (her word), it would have to be kept secret, defeating the point of being in the relationship in the first place. And the only way for her to be more emotionally mature is to be on the Ellie route, where she swears off men if she can't have Jules as well. And as for Patricia, she can flirt as much as she likes (like with Jason and Haru, the museum boys), but no dick but Carl's, which makes a romantic relationship with Dylan rather pointless.
