18 months is assured since we're already at 14. I think we're looking at 24-32 months.
Yeah, especially knowing that 2-3 of the remaining 4 updates (well 5 including the next release) are supposed to have animations, possibly being major updates of the day. Wouldn't surprise me if the ones with animation in it were to take 3+ months each. I don't see an end of PD13 happening before the end of 2023, if not into 2024.o_O

I don't know how old he is but on his patreon page he says this is his "first game and hopefully many more"
I'm guessing this will be his job until he's finished with AWAM, and if he's not too old by then he might make another one :KEK: :KEK: :KEK:

Lol, that description. He's fooling himself. We're here for those scenes. He keeps us on the line for those scenes. I bet a bunch of us skim the dialogue at best. The build up was good, but we're way past that phase. He did a good job of building us up to a good moment, but dammit if it doesn't feel like he's making it take longer than it should, and we're still years away from any real payout. It sucks.

In his early 30's I believe.

Shit's gonna eventually hit the fan. Next update is supposed to have roughly 200 renders according to L&P. We're already 2 months in, and it's likely gonna take another ~2 weeks. Update 1+2/10 from the "beginning" of 2022 had been, until now, the slowest he's ever been, averaging around 3.5 renders per day. But seeing that this is a yearly thing now and L&P apparently chasing his own lows at the start of each new year, the next update will most likely be record breaking once again.

If the update has indeed 200 renders, and assuming a release around the 30th of January, we'd be at a whopping 2.8 renders per day. Only thing that could save this from becoming the new low would be a render count around the ~250's.

I wonder how much longer his patrons will keep up with this. Even the most diehard fan will eventually give up. To be fair, that could take several years seeing how guys like ICSTOR are still rocking 3700 patrons without releasing shit all.
It is really very difficult for me to understand why Devs like ICSTOR of LEWDLAB have still such a big number of patrons. If some one has a reasonable explanation, please tell me.

For Icstor, He has a track record of producing good 3D art and animation. There was a time that he could be trusted with his information, but as he became more popular, he started to abuse his fame and slacked off. One of the reasons that he continues to have big numbers, although his Patreon has shrunk over the years, is new members that discover his work for the first time and not realizing the current history with him.

I don't think so. We've been saying for two years that "any time now" his support on Patreon is going to drop. As long as he's still producing content, no matter how slow, his support will remain strong. He may not grow, but he'll hold steady like he has been. If ICSTOR can literally do nothing and maintain support, and it took GumDrop almost two years of garbage content to crash their support, L&P will be fine at his current pace.
I also think L&P is hedging his bets.

Many of his long-term supporters have reduced tier (I did) and some have dropped support all together.

He's going to need to refresh his numbers with new supporters - and they have expectations for higher quality renders than we did when AWAM began.

I think his 'remaster the early parts of part 1 in his free time' is how he is addressing this.

If his numbers fall enough, I think he will choose to spend more time upgrading the past than increasing the speed of development for the current PD and next few PDs.

New supporters won't all have the expectations that we have, and he is not willing to build the team he needs to sustain the creation of new content at a meaningfully higher rate of speed.

AWAM production is slowing down, not speeding up. AWAM Newbies are people who don't know his story and are likely to subscribe for a year or two, thinking that their contributions will actually prompt L&P to create AWAM content faster.

They'll learn...

This game is on the path of being abandoned eventually. I don't quite understand why it hasn't happened yet. I also don't understand why patrons would pay for this shit. The game and its storyline is great, no doubt, but no one deserves to be blueballed this long especially when they are paying for it. Dev is acting like James Cameron of the VNs.
