Strictly speaking, yes. But since you can play this game without having a sex scene with any male character, practically speaking, you can play a "lesbian" playthrough, if that's what floats your boat. In fact, even though canon-wise Sophia loves Liam, to play the Ellie route, you need to skip all sex scenes with him.

IT'S A GAME. Got it? A GAME. Sophia will be whatever the player wants her to be. If the player wants her to be a full on lesbian, then she will be a lesbian.

The 'lesbian' issue comes later;
First, the male characters are shallow, empty, husk. Sophia has the most rapport and affinity with Ellie and Patricia.
Yup, Patricia might be the one Sophia is most close with or has the most rapport with, which I am sure Ellie will change; probably in the next update.

The buildup with Ellie and Sophia and the actual culmination (till now), is the best thing I have ever seen in an adult game. I have played the mentioned route 10-20 times, and without a doubt I am going to play it a hundred more times, waiting for the update.
