It was explained - the failing mark on the test will carry on regardless if Dylan is moved to a diffrent school or not. Unless some commitie can render his mark unjustified.
So regardless if he moves to bording school or not - he will not pass history, and that supposedly would ban him from collage (I dont know about American school system - or whatever the game seems to be imitating.)
Bennett is just an asshole, I dont like him, and that plot is not my favourite, but on the base of it - the logic works.
Plus I dont think he really is Blackmailing her.
He isnt blackmailing her to have sex with him.
He is blackmailing her to spend time with him,
and beeing the self absorbed duche he is,
he believes she will fall for him anyway.
So this scenario is not a typical blackmail for sex scenario.
It is scenario of a narcistic womaniser bending women to his will.

You are right
It is not a good buildup
It is GREAT buildup.
And the game is now entering the parts when the buildup is slowly begining to pay off.
I LOVE the pacing of the game !
What I dont love - is how long the development is taking.
I was fine with 6 months for a whole day, but it is going past even that. I think he might really go too far with ammount of CGs per scene (fashion show for Dylan/Sam was IMHO too long - too many CGs), but I cant say for sure untill I see those scenes in this update.
After we got so many tame scenes that had many renders for them, it is only natural for actualy hot sexual scenes to be even bigger.
When we finaly will start gettign really hot scenes with Dylan and Sophia and Ellie - I expect a really huge, masterfully crafted scenese then. And when Dylan will finaly get to fuck his Mother, I want him to go at her for the whole night - cumming in her 10 times over - and I hope that L&P will make it truely epic.
So who knows - maybe those 5 months of wait were justified (probably not for me since I am lukewarm about Lesbian content), we will see.
So yeah - if you complain about development time beeing too long - I feel ya.
But the game pacing itself ?

Here are my opinions of Aiden and Bennet;
Aiden - is the person whom is actually helping to corrupt Sophia on a some what faster pace..
Bennet - I believe is in his role as a person to push Sophia in the direction of being Submissive.
(Example; In the restaurant he made her remove her panties even though she didn't want to, she agreed and there for in a form she made move to be submissive.)
You can agree or disagree but those are my thoughts of what both of those characters bring to the game.
