Far as I'm aware NVLink won't pool or share the VRAM anyway. Have to pool it with an overhead otherwise your still stuck at 24GB. And doing that would actually slow down speed not increase it. So utterly pointless in the real world especially when dealing with geometry and polygons etc. it would help Iray though with the NVLink.

It would also allow you to render a larger scene....which may help him...but as he renders at a low resolution anyway he is just negating the benefits and effects with something else. Unless he going to start rendering in 4k which I find unlikely.

However, given all this and L&P's (and many other devs) terribly bad organisational skills....why spend all that money for what in reality would be zero increase in production and update speed?

LMAO..wtf...are you still a teen? Are you so active because school has finished for Christmas? Sexual satisfaction hahahaha.....I don't need that from crappy porn games, comics or 3D art (and your moms underwear catalogue). I stopped doing that almost 40 years ago kid.
Or maybe because you don't have a libido anymore ... as long as you're too old apparently. But still there are tones of non-erotic video games out there where you can appreciate art. Why this porn forum?

you're putting a lot of time and effort in this little personal crusade of yours..
why do you care so much about who enjoys what? what is it to you?
is there something you're trying to prove?
I mean.. there are more entertaining ways of trolling people than this one.. but if you must continue, at least spice it up with some clever joke or something... this is getting boring.

I am off duty today. but You can always avoid reading my comments if they are so boring. rather than bother to answer them so vehemently.

I could... then again, you too could try and take your own advice... underscored by me for relevance.

Why don't you go mind your fucking damn business and let people think the way they want without you being a prick. and mostly stop licking L&P's ass and stop barking like dogs every time someone criticizes him.
You have to be completely stupid not to understand that people have the right to appreciate the game and to be critical of some of its aspects at the same time.
that said, I've read somewhere there's an ignore button... I haven't had a need to use it yet...
I guess I'll go find it.

The information online are very vague, but Daz3D and Iray seems to work with NVLink and share their VRAM.

P.s. looks like user Burt was faster.

But L&P's planned setup with four 3090 is still pointless, because a single 3090 is so fucking huge that it take up 3 slots per card. For four cards he would need an additional computer or two additional render machine and a single computer for posing and postwork.

isn't it better to have 2 pc with 2 3090 each? in order to start 2 renders at the same time? rather than 1 pc with 4 3090?

If he can back up enough posed scenes yes I suppose so...but I doubt he could lol. He'd have to be setting up twice the amount of scenes he currently does now in order to make it worthwhile...you understand?

I'm not sure if he is even able to pose so fast before a single 3090 finish rendering (a single image).

For that many artist use batch rendering. You pose your scene etc and send it into a render queue. During night, when you sleep, your computer renders everything inside the batch queue.

(Don't take me for granted, my knowledge of rendering is based on other people's and what they told me and their experience.)
