I know Scarlet56 and I don't think I'm going against his thought by intervening. If there's logic here, then it looks exactly like a shattered window pane. That's a territory of wishful thinking, nothing's wrong with that, but it has nothing to do with the reality.
It's a matter of trust between him and his donors. Some accepted this approach, others decided to part ways with him. What anyone here on this thread thinks about the development time is irrelevant, including myself.
You talk like someone who's life depends on AWAM, that's quite baffling. L&P is an artist in the first place, attempting to achieve his vision. It takes time ... a lot.

What may seem like a lost time for us, for him it's a training ground for mastering skills. You might say "But that's at the expense of the paying audience". Nobody said that life is easy and fair. Patrons and him have found a compromise, the steady growing base of supporters shows what's up.
But there's always an option: people say that dancing with a tambourine around the bonfire during a Moon eclipse, while fully naked and standing on the hands, helps in fulfilling dreams (the plausibility of this method is quite uncertain). Anyone, wanting to speed the process up, feel free to try it out and if AWAM indeed gets updated faster, don't be so shy and tell us about your unforgetable experience.
We are not talking here about taking sides for or against L&P.
Simply, it is not really opportune to train in the middle of a game. Before or after so that the next one is even better.
No one doubts the quality of what L&P does here. Renderings and history, as already said dozens of times.
Have a life that depends on AWAM ??
This is a bit of a stretch, for all of us here. There are passionate people, I prefer to say it like that.
