Oh you sweet summer child, I once had hopes and dreams too. I mean, it isn't really worth getting into it because this scenario won't happen, but if he did do a wedding scene there is NO WAY it would be as simple as you're suggesting. L&P takes great pride in new environments, outfits, and details in general, that he would never reuse the same asset for such a big event. He would almost certainly break the game up into the wedding ceremony at a church, and then the reception at a large venue, and then an after-party at a restaurant. The whole day would be centered around getting married, but it wouldn't be done in one single update that only took him six months.

I would agree. Ver. 0.095 and 0.100 were both half-day events to make Playable Day 11 (Day18) with 1800+ renders, and that took 9 months. Playable Day 12 (Day19/Current) Ver. 0.115 took 3 months, and the current update Ver. 0.130 has been in production since January or February (take your pick with the GFX issue.) and L&P is at 75% completed on CS with 70% on render. Not to mention that we still have the evening event that will most likely be a major event as well.
If we were to have a wedding scene and L&P attention to details (OCD) and Quality, which can have anywhere from 20-800 renders or even more as he can't tell you how many renders he needs until he starts the process, 6-7 months is really being optimistic. That kind of event would most likely take longer to produce.

You forgot about breakfast, showering, Liam is out of razor blades so he needs to make a quick run to the store, then Dylan asks Liam to teach him how to shave. Meanwhile, Ellie and Sophia need to get dressed, apply makeup, do their hair, pick jewelry, realize their outfits are too closely matched so they both need to change again, then the car ride to the church. Dylan daydreams during the trip so we'll need a montage of lusty thoughts. Don't you dare suggest he will be replaying prior events like the swimsuit modeling or the changing room scenes, these will be all new fantasies (+8 renders). And Sophia notices that Liam nicked himself while shaving and an argument ensues about whether Liam was being careless, just like that night at the casino, or whether sometimes these things just happen. Then, because of Liam's trip to the store there's an argument because they're running a bit late and now the parking lot is full (32 renders of them circling a full parking lot (60 new custom car assets)). They need to park two blocks away. Minimum six renders of walking and talking. During the walk a pigeon poops on Dylan's head and there's a drama. See, those pigeons in the park behind Aiden were not wasted effort: foreshadowing! He runs to the nearest bathroom in the church not realizing it's the ladies' room, takes off his jacket and shirt, washes his hair in the sink when [one of the ladies] walks in and compliments his figure, he gets excited and needs to pet his weasel - remember he's already tuned up because of his daydreaming earlier. Imagine the infinite detail as his cum slowly drips down the drain - I can't wait! - and then cut to the ladies getting ready in the back room.
And then the wedding ceremony starts.

Another thing I'm finding is a particularly L&P quirk (that I've mentioned before on occasion), is that he wont work with others because he doesn't want to share the work he's done creating all the characters.
As opposed to a second game I've stumbled upon (Free Pass) where the dev even posted the character model of the MC for download on their Patreon just so people like me can make fan art. I asked about some of the other characters, and a day later had the entire list of morphs used.

A wedding in game would count with about 15 new environments, hundreds of clothing items, posing, multiple character rendering.
You just know he would render 200+ new people.
Would be a nightmare.
I wonder if pushing updates per number of events would be better than this part of day that will just derail to 4/5 months eventually.

My money is on the wedding not happening. Pick any: Runaway bride, Cold Feet, Everyone is hungover from the previous nights orgy. Prayers and signed petitions of all F95 interceding to stop this proposed wedding. Morello's mafia taking a trip to visit Germany. Whatever. This cannot happen. Yeah, the wedding has been brought up twice now - at this point it's Chekhov's Wedding.
L&P showed the audience a loaded Wedding in Act 1, he has to fire it by Act 3

In movies the Bachelor & Bachelorette parties usually happen the night before the Wedding.
Going by the assumption (hope) that the party/wedding won't happen until late in the game's run, when Sophia is good and debauched, it might be possible for the player to make choices that cause Sophia to lead Kathy into a morally compromising situation that forces the wedding to be called off.
Because it's still a game right? Sophia's choices lead the narrative.
