We do? That doesn't sound like any quote I've seen. Do you have a quote about there being an extreme task on day 18?

EDIT:
My understanding is that there would never be any tasks that would be "really extreme". Playable day 18 is the "uncomfortable solution", but in that quote there is nothing whatsoever to indicate the tasks from then on would be extreme
If I find where I read a message from L&P about this, I will give you a link. But I need to look, I don’t remember exactly where I read this.

Whenever I see this I have to think of the announcement from the developer, years ago. He once reduced the content to 0.5 per update under the promise of delivering shorter, but more regular updates. In the meantime we have reached 0.125 per update. But the updates are still taking as long as they were at the beginning. At the moment there is only 1 update per year, if we are lucky.

This means, there actually never was an acceleration, but an slowdown in development. I wonder what do his patreos actually say about it?

Another 20 years minimum before the end of the game.
L&P, will you still have the strength and above all the desire to continue even in 10 years?
Do you see yourself, in your home, in 15 years still doing with so much passion, AWAM? I doubt.
I am sure that you know perfectly well that there is danger if you do not find a solution to go a little faster.

Do not answer some of our questions, which are however simple and logical.
So please can you answer this simple question:

You realize that there is a problem in your productivity, right? There is danger, right?
You are not going to tell me that you do not realize it and that for you, everything is fine.

We all love your game, each for our own unique fetish and the quality of your work. You know it perfectly.

Those were the movies. My bad, sorry. It was the titles translation into Spanish, : ) And about Liam I am playing this game without thinking about him. My bet is Dylan, tough I dont have any expectations whatsoever at this very moment.
They are great movies, whatever the title. I think the whole Parker clan probably watched them. Dylan probably saw them more than once!

Why is it all about money? :(

Have such little consideration for L & P's work?
We talked about the creation process, many agreed that L&P was doing a good job, even excellent for some.
Yes L&P takes time and annoys everyone. I, too, am no different. The slowness of the updates is difficult to understand if we limit ourselves to counting the events that will happen.
And I am not talking about the characters who will be present, the debate is still and still topical.
But the same people who speak of an author only interested in money will also be those who will praise the quality of his work after an update. And who at the same time will have timed their derisory playing time with the "skip" button and will make a graph to show the imbalance. And which after a few months will come back with the same leitmotif.
Let L&P do what it has to do ... Or stop playing.

It's not that all the criticism concerns money. (I'll never criticise on this topic because I'm a pirate). Money is essential for the truly successful developers & there are few who would begrudge anyone a decent reward for work well done. (Except for some well-known employers who don't seem to be here). One of the issues that's come to the fore because of the slow pace is the possibility of AWAM coming to a premature end. Perhaps these worries have been exaggerated, partly because of the time between updates but this is a genuine possibilty at some point in the future.

Having played several games that were abandoned, I recognise the signs but hope that it's just so much pointless speculation of the kind we usually enjoy, though not when it comes to this subject. So, although it's a fact that, in life, anything can end anytime, there's a creeping feeling that something needs to change.

Maybe because we have devs that are pausing the pledges if the update takes too much months?

But does this have an influence on L&P ?
He is the master of his game; the threat does not usually make things happen. It will make someone angry, but if not acted upon, it remains sterile and childish.

I concur with both of you. Good points made here. L&P is a perfectionist IMO and that is not a bad thing. He is also a compelling artist. We are here because we enjoy his work. Just a look at the fan art thread shows the interest in his work.

The concern of abandonment is valid. Anyone who followed Foot of the Mountain saw the last release (A large cut scene, that does not always pop up for the player) as exactly that situation. The Dev was done in his mind and just tossed the cut scene so he could move on to his next project. That recent experience does concern me as Amcienregimele has presented so clearly.

If L&P is able to get this update out and then proceeds to smaller updates at a higher rate, or finds acceptable support that accelerates production, he will answer many critics and assuage many concerns.
