Some have been having issues with it, especially when playing on Android. Apparently you can't use the numpad either.

But conceptually, are people unhappy with it? If L&P works the bugs out I wouldn't mind the occasional mini game

Conceptually, I haven't noticed any complaints. Only that the event is buggy. I'm not a fan of minigames myself, but since it's not in the route I play, I don't particularly care. And even if I did, could probably edit the script to remove it.
I consider most Mini-games in a VN to a blight on humanity! The majority of these games develop into a nuisance quite fast if they are not avoidable. Rare examples of working minis is the Table tennis game in "Summer Pockets", which is optional, but stil fun. As said, rare finds, normally these minis are moodbreaker or pain during new playthroughs.
That is like including a joystick-wanker a´la most 80s sport games into a hardcore strategic game e.g. "War in the East", "Mius Front" or "Order of Battle".
when you're playing on android devices it is impossible to complete the mini games without wireless keyboard, hopefully the number is not random you can just setting via joyplay on screen display button

I get it, but sometimes it's nice to have some gameplay other than selecting choices.
This I'm more sympathetic for. Are the Android releases all fan made, or are they official?

What scenes did you play? I played the Nursing Home, the Wedding Dress Shopping, Aiden's Task 3, and the jog with Dylan, and I got around an hour of gameplay. How long was your playthrough?

This is a great tip, thank you. Just a head's up, the line numbers you mentioned appear to be a bit different on my pc.
If you change both results=4 and counts=4, it will also skip the mini-game altogether.
Oh, for the record, I felt the mini-game was much less annoying than they are in most games...

Is it really so hard to understand that the "Main Story" is different for each user ?! By creating a large number of routes, L&P has significantly expanded its user audience.

There is a very high quality but very short looped animation of sophia’s boobs bouncing up and down as she jogs, nipples so stiff they could poke your eyes out, so there it does have that going for it.
And it has to be said, the loop is kind of humorous because the background is moving in the frame, too, so the background loops too.

Nah, it’s not buggy at all. It’s just so random and unexpected, almost (gasp) as if it was an idea that occurred to L&P at the spur of the moment and without any planning whatsoever, and since he thought of it it became necessary and un-droppable, so he made it, and because he made it it is necessary for telling the story as it was planned, because otherwise why would it have been made in the first place.
My problem is first, that mini games are a departure from his vision of the erotic VN. Second, this mini game is amateurish, basic, so it kind of brings the whole thing to a base level.
it’s the kind of thing he should have played with in testing and realized it’s too lame to include in this game. Like certain Dylan watching people shower after yoga sequences.
At minimum, L&P would have done better to un-ren BAD’s brawler game and done that instead. Yeah, it’s a rip-off job, but at least it’s a nod to excellence instead of an amateurish limp-dicked implementation of what was clearly an unplanned and impromptu decision to break our concentration.

I was going to address this too, but it seems that the mods got to it quickly. Some people just can't handle the internet. We're all frustrated with the game, but there's a line between criticism and being a jerk. Clearly our approach is not getting through to L&P, so we can't just beat him up if we hope to ever reach him.

I’m just calling out that I don’t consider it “erotic”, and specifically that word. Hot, sexy, arousing, flips my cookie, all those things: yes. Erotic, to my mind, connotes a mutual consent and enjoyment. If it were even set up where Ares says “I’m gonna squeeze your titties” - you know, says something aggressive and vulgar and then the choice is “this excites me” or “keep your fucking hands off me”, then choosing to continue, for me, at least, preserves the “erotic” element.
I’m the end, this is pure semantics and depends entirely on how broad our personal interpretation of “erotic” is. For me, Ares’s actions w/o direct consent is not erotic, it’s forcible. But, to each their own.

you have to play part 1 to the very end and let the game export your progress.
provide a meaningful name to keep different playthroughs apart.
you start part 2 by importing one of your exported game states. save files made by anything other than part 2 are marked incompatible cuz there is simply no content of part 1 to get part 1 save files working.
from now on my android ports of Ren'Py games have a 2nd, persistent save location like windows. if you uninstall an app, the save files and persistent data remain intact.
therefore the app needs the permission to access the public external storage (or a new one on Android 11), because it has to read and write outside its own external storage directories.
you have to grant the permission or the app is shut down.

It’s so very basic a game, and should have been dropped during play testing because it’s way below the standards of every other element of AWAM, and obviously so. But that doesn’t make me hate it.
it’s a departure from what we’ve seen so far so it’s awkward, but that doesn’t make me hate it.
I hate it because it was clearly un-planned. It was so obviously an afterthought because there’s no renders between hit one, two, or three. If you miss on any of 1,2,3, the same Aiden_Fails [edit] Dylan_Fails [/edit] variable gets set, and there’s only one test: did you get all four or not?? So it was thrown in to replace a “Dylan wins” or “Dylan loses” menu, which would look even dumber than the mini game is lame.
so, how did we get here? We’ll, I propose we ended up with a mini game because L&P somehow envisioned a player who has been pro-Dylan to such an extent that they have more Dylan points than are possible up to that point in the game (54 when only 46 or so are possible) (and remember, they bothered to figure out how to cheat the points needed to proceed) and has chosen on three separate occasions to defend his mom’s honor to some hobos (L&P’s words, not mine - excellent nomenclature by the way, you fucking hack) - sorry I’m rambling.
To re-cap: THREE TIMES In this event, you’ve chosen to defend Sophia.
So I ask our discerning reader: what player who has reached this point in the script wants to lose to the hobos, be embarrassed in front of Sophia, and have things fizzle out? What player that got to that point needs to be asked a fourth time (whether by mini game or via menu):
“So it looks like you’re on the path where Dylan pursues his mom. You’ve made an awful lot of pro-Dylan choices to get here. But, and I know you’ve been pursuing this son-mom thing for almost four years now, but I still have to ask: are you sure you want Dylan to impress his mom right now?”
