I know from personal experience that there are plenty of real artist’s studios that do not have north-facing windows but you’re absolutely correct, that is the generally accepted design standard.* The only thing I noticed is that the sun cannot enter a real artist's studio because they are all oriented to the north to try to have the most constant light possible. But actually the 100% realistic look I don't care, because the renders look better like it did. Everything else is fine IMO.
