Milking his patrons can only last 5, maybe 10, years so he has to make a lot to justify quitting a real job, where he can build a career with health/retirement benefits.
Unless he can turn this hobby into a business that can generate a cash flow over several decades, it's not reasonable to ask someone to do this full time.
yeah tottaly, except that he can certainly learn a skills while making these adult games. His adult game career if he would be smart about can last the rest of his life time, as there is always the opportunity for sex to sell.
12k a month is ridicules, that is 144k a year. Tell me how many people you know in real life that make that kind of money? ( If you do know a lot of those people personally, congrats you are probably part of the upper crust).
But let's say you are right, and in 2 years this guy will make that 12k each months. So that means that he has still 3-8 years of patreon money left, with it probably still growing for a long time. in those 8 years he would make 1.152 million before taxes. Even after taxes he can easily stretch that money for a decade or more. Which after that time he should have another job. If not another adult game hit.
It's still a hobby right? He could still easily please his patrons with saving up 2 months of what he gets now and buy an expensive computer and even be able to hire a writer, and graphic artist for a big update and be set and done. (for 6k you can get a top of the line fast rendering computer)
But hey keep making excuses for the guy that is making more money a year than his average fellow country man does. That makes more money a year than probably a lot of the people on this forum ever will do.
