After spending almost a week for searching and writing to people, I think it must be hundreds of them (it was a really stressy week!!!), I finally found some right ones for helping me (at least I hope so)! I also had a live stream with one who's really good, who taught me some stuff, so that I can move on with my usual project again now. It was really, really hard to find the right people, and actually, I'm still looking for someone for the last part. But I think it will work out sooner or later. It must!
Like I said, you will hopefully already see the result in the next update. To realise this it cost me a lot of nerves (and some money). And it's just the beginning.
Like I already said, it will be a huge enrichment of the game! And some of the people I found are also really skilled in art design and could also maybe even help me with the scene creation, to speed this part up as well! But probably not with Daz Studio.
You'll know more about all of this after the next update. Just a little bit of patience please.

L&P is an amateur. Not in the creation of his images but in everything else, like marketing, organization and conversation with his supporters. You can see it clearly in this post. Some say he is lying and arrogant. I actually only see great uncertainty here regarding the production schedule and contract negotiations.
What I wonder, though, is why he's talking about a huge addition to the game. If it really is animations, the reaction of his supporters will be a HUGE disappointment for L&P. When I look at the animations in Amnesia or BeingADIK, it will be hard to go one level higher. Besides, animations don't enrich the game for me (I'm repeating myself here).
A good story with eroticism, sex and drama enriches the game for me.

Yes, it still hard to see how Dylan will stand up to Alyssa, Sam, Elli or Liam in Sophia's favor. For jealousy to exist, there must be something that Sophia believes will be taken away from her. And with Dylan, I can't see the reasons. And Dylan is very much like his father in his arrogance regarding the interests and hobbies of others. You can see that very well when he talks about Sam's music career when Sophia asks him to come to the concert. Just as his father talks about Dylan's hobby of soccer. It would show how Dylan is growing up when he apologizes to Sam for that. He's kind of stepping out of his father's shadow a little bit. Those would be little things that show how Dylan is changing. But it won't happen like that, this is a porn game and not a developmental study about teenagers.

Why is everything with L&P always a 'maybe','possibly','could','hopefully','probably'? This post again is very confusing to me. It's just very vague and doesn't provide any useful information, really. "It" could work out, but "It" could also fail or get delayed?

"Like I said, you will hopefully already see the result in the next update" - Except that's not what he previously said. He made it pretty clear that he "has to do it now" because it "already concerns this update" and we'd already be seeing results in the upcoming release, kissing his feet for how awesome and special it is. Then again, he said many different things concerning this whole...whatever it is.

That's another thing I don't get. Why make such a big deal out of it, saying that we'll get more information after the update when in reality (or not) we'll be able to see for ourselves what it's gonna be anyway? Why not just say "Hey guys, I'm trying to implement Animations into the game", or "I'm working on something which might cause a slight delay for the next release but hopefully you'll be seeing first results in the next update. More infos soon.". Why all this pointless talk that doesn't tell us a damn thing?

Great, apparently he's found some people to work with, or maybe he didn't, but he's hoping...What? And yet he still needs another one for the "last part", whatever that's supposed to mean. And what if he can't find a guy for this last part? Does that mean it'd get cancelled? And if one of them can somehow help him with scene creation- maybe, possibly, hopefully, in the future (but not in DAZ, lol), does that mean we're going back to 1/3rd of a PD in 6 months instead of what's currently looking like 2, maybe 3/10ths of a PD in 6 months at most?

And, sorry, but asking his supporters for "a little bit of patience" is just a bad joke at this point. That's probably the single biggest thing he shouldn't ask for after all this time. Anyway, this whole post, again, creates more questions than answers. Atleast we're not 5 months away from the next release, so maybe I'm just overreacting and everything becomes crystal clear soon.

As always proof is in the pudding. GingerSweetGirl once said we need to wait for update 2 of this day and that may be true. Current pace (solo is a 20+month PD rate) is down the ICSTOR path. I hope that this rate will drop rapidly with update 2 (of 10) for this PD. As long as that number moves toward 2+ PD/year there is a possibility of success. If he settles for 1 PD/year then 17 years is a long time to keep others as a team. I hope the team is able to achieve a synergy that will get them to 4 PD/ year updates. A four year time to completion would be reasonable for assistants, and L&P himself, not getting too broken over the grind. It will still happen however. IMO

I need to be careful what I say, some of your guys actually pay attention.

But seriously, I did say that and I stand by it. However, we need to be careful not to constantly move the goal posts. In a vacuum it is tempting to cut this update some slack and pin our hopes on the second update. But we have to be mindful that this latest news does not exist in a vacuum and that we have two years of declining production before we got to this latest update. If update 2 of 10 also runs into problems we can't/shouldn't blindly accept the reasons.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that my line in the sand is update 2/10. If that update runs into problems I think I may be ready to write the game off.

If he has hired good animators, I think the animations will be high quality. He's a perfectionist and an artist, he isn't going to settle for those janky animations like some games have.

But the issue is still the same. The pace of updates, and more importantly progression of the game, is already really slow. He said the progression is going to speed up in Ch2, which I believe based on the latest couple updates. But the slow updates and the day being cut into several portions is still an issue.

Animations are mostly used for sex scenes. Sure, you can do a jogging or walking animation like I suggested in my last post but people who like animation don't like them because of walking. They like them for...other reasons . But I can't see how we're close, even with the speedier progression, to sex scenes. The next "spicy" scene will probably be with Sam again...next year.

So unless he has also hired someone to help make renders, and based on his latest post that may or may not be true. He's always so vague, and the language barrier doesn't help either. I'd rather he keep animations out of the game, because I can't see any way that quality animation won't slow things down. Especially since the game has been slowing down without them for a while.

Animations fix a problem that doesn't actually exist. And is at least somewhat likely to cause more problems.

Maybe. Or maybe I don't as I'm following this project for long enough to see some of the issues, and coming up with a post like that doesn't require me to study rocket science beforehand. Guess we'll never know.

Quick question. Are you paying for it or not? If not you have no right to be upset about it. Giving the comments on patreon people are happy with how he is dealoing with this. NO ONE CARES if you think he is a scam or whatever since you are not his customer.

Where you see lies I am more inclined to see unprofessionalism, a lack of organization and insecurity in dealing with customers. When you talk about fraud I see a developer who has been delivering results for 4 years, not as fast as I would like, but he delivers. You accuse L&P of being a fraud and forget that most of the people here in this forum are liars themselves because they get the work from L&P for free. That doesn't mean you can't criticize, but the language you use should be a little more restrained. And in this sense I can understand the anger of darji.

At no point did I call him a fraud! This is actually a criminal term here in the US. Get your terms correct. I called him a liar. He promised 4, Four years ago to get assistants. So for 4, Four years he did nothing. Now that he is probably sensing his own burnout he starts reaching out for what he PROMISED 4, Four years ago. If you are happy with that as unprofessionalism that is on you. Do not try to falsify what I clearly wrote.

I also clearly posted that I am awaiting the proof is in the pudding. Translation is I will wait to see if he actually makes good on his promises, AGAIN. If he fails then this is a done deal. You do realize the chance at completion decreases each day. This VN is almost the definition of the law of diminishing returns.

I have many times clearly stated that those who want to follow him with their own cash that is their choice. I think it is a waste but, I support their right to make that choice. I do not condemn them or deride them it is their right to do what they want with their cash. Just like, as all pirates here, it is our right to hold our various opinions.
