Agree but there's a difference between creating a great game and amassing popularity. So regards L&P it's not just about accumulating more cash, maybe it never was. Moreover, I think he regards his creation very personally and is highly sensitive to criticism. Sometimes too much so.I already talked about this, L&P is not earning more money because of his slowness, that's not milking. This game is incredible popular, yet the number of patrons isn't that impressive. Many patrons have stopped their support because of that, even big fans in this forum.
To put you an example, DreamNow started his patreon 1 year ago and with his game University of Problems he has achieved 1240 patrons in that time. He reached in one year what L&P reached in 2 years and a half. At this rate, his is going to surpass L&P this year. What's his secret? "Updates are released every month (each update contains ~630 renders, 4 animations, 8-12 events and many other interesting things)." And despite of his renders are not that great as these ones (According to the previews), the people are happy with them, they rate them 5/5. The point is that for L&P to deliver renders 15% better, he takes 3 times more for that.
Being slow isn't what gives you the money, it's being fast who makes it. Actually, we could benefit if L&P starts thinking in making more money (He would need to be faster for that).
Compare L&P's story lines against the one you mentioned, and others besides. Well, there isn't any comparison.
