Doesn't the Aiden task in this update supposed to have a way for Sophia to end his blackmail?

That could be what he means when he said "new branch".

He doesn't mean a literal new branch. Just an already planned branch, Sophia ending the blackmail, is going to start in this update. So he calls it new for the sake of hype building.

But if he does mean a literally new, as in unplanned, branch. Then I don't know what he's thinking. This current update cycle doesn't bode well for quicker releases, to say the least. Let alone adding more paths to the game.

The next update is special in different ways. Not just that it's the first update of Part 2, it will also have some changes plus a totally new branch for the future of the game!

Morello route, it fits, it's a new route, it depends on Sophia's decision to end up with Aiden. The previous one's over.

But L&P uses "totally new", which suggests that the bonus scene is what triggers this new branch.
He uses the word "branch", it would mean that it starts from an existing route, and if the last teaser belongs to this new branch we can say that the mother branch is Aiden. As it's a new branch we won't have Aiden, he will continue on the main branch(mother) and this new branch belongs to ... Zac and the soccer team

And my impression: it's these two doors, as entrances.
I could say that we can expect an entry through these doors of some characters, and the soccer team fits. All almost naked/naked entering the showers .... would be pretty good

Zac needs a place of his own to have fun with Sophia. At home it's his mum , Alyssa, and at school it's Aiden.

I don't understand all the excitement about the announcement of a new story branch. You can wonder about the phrase "brand new" but not about the message.
Morello was literally begging for Sophia not to visit him or Larry for the last time. That there would be a bonus story was known for a long time. It's just that most of the people in this forum thought it would give them another erotic event. Or finally solve the mystery of Sophia's handbag.
I've always seen the bonus story as a way to advance the overall story or add much needed twists to keep the story logical. For example, why Dylan can't go back to boarding school to stop the blackmail. Or why Aiden can keep pushing his blackmail with so little material. Sophia's corruption can't be it at this point. Or how Zac can get involved in the Aiden route without Dylan and Alyssa knowing anything about it. Or how a break off possibility after the 8th or 12th task should arise. These possibilities can't just fall out of the sky. Also how Dylan's (the little shit) relationship is supposed to develop further without any major twists in the story. All of this doesn't have to be clarified now, and doesn't have to happen that way, but it can explain the message.

That's why I say it's possible that the bonus story will have Zac among the participants in the scene.
