It's an endless loop now, cause when .160 is ready with .155 animations, "hot af" animations for 0.160 are not even started, and without them the whole release "makes no sense", so he'll start working on version .165 while "partner" working on .160 animations, etc.

Without targets L&P would stick to, the progress reports didn't mean much even before this. The move to 1/3 days was meant to mean updates would come out every 2 months, and 2 PDs a year. Which isn't ideal, but at least approaching reasonable in terms of game completion.
There's no animations in 0.160, at least not the special ones, which it's not a good thing, because it means that there's nothing too spicy in that update. I think that L&P should stop making spoilers.
