Is it just me, or is Ellie moping around a lot if you play the bonus storyline? In my playthrough she's pretty much happy with everything - her grades are high, she was just made head cheerleader, had her first orgasm, etc.
This is what I've said for a while now. Zero chance this VN is ever finished in a way that seems natural or satisfies those paying for it. Almost 100% chance it's outright abandoned and any non-abandonment ending will involve a hasty finish where Sophia goes from the ultimate cocktease to a mega-slut.IMO, technology advances wont be an issue. The most important thing is the intriguing story. You can have a great erotic novel without even one picture. AWAM belongs to the extremely small number of games that I am able to follow the storyline. The main thing is that I can not imagine L&P spending his life doing renders of Sofia and Dylan. At one point the game will be abandoned living many many fans unsatisfied. My personal estimation is that we are not very far from that.
And this is true because it has to be based on his BS claims of a planned timeline and his schedule. It's a meme here but it's a meme because it's true: at his pace it cannot possibly end until 2030 or later.
Now, I'd contend that it's because there is no plan. He's making money and over fist so why rush it? That's what seems blatantly obvious to me and has for a while.
However, the why isn't what even matters and many here (myself included) have gotten caught up in that debate. The real point that needs to be stressed and highlighted is that even if he doesn't abandon it, the story literally cannot be finished in this decade. It will have a TRUE, NON-EXAGGERATED development cycle of over 15 years.
15 years for a Renpy VN. Actual AAA videogames don't take 15 years. So...put 2&2 together, guys. Take his personality, add in his atrocious development cycle and put 2&2 together.
It's a ...(rhymes with "SLAM"). How can anyone not see that at this point? That even if he doesn't just abandon it that it won't be done in this decade.
That timeframe + his awful personality = abandonment. He has no desire to finish it. He wants your money until you stop giving it...and then he'll abandon it.
I sincerely think this is the titles only hope. Sell it on to another developer.
That or a group rises up to just take it from him. He'd have zero recourse in any logistical sense if someone did. There are companies like Patreon that wouldn't stop them from collecting from fans for it and what could he do by way of legal action? He uses mostly pre-made assets to make a porn VN in a freeware engine (Renpy). He himself has used other IP in his title without permission and good luck even finding the creator if they use even a tiny bit of identity obfuscation.
So, sell it or I hope a group just...takes it. Start where he left off (don't straight-up steal his work/code) and make your own from there. Fans/patrons will see it and move to you when they see equal quality and a release schedule that isn't comically inept to the point of being an obvious grift.
So if I were L&P, I'd just sell it. It seems clear to me that he doesn't want to do this beyond collecting money. So, sell it or risk a group of angry fans just taking it.

That's been my concern for a while - there are at least two games I support, with nicer and more approachable devs. And while the progress in games like DDoS is just as slow, the dev of that game (BWG) actively encourages fan art, and discussion, and is all around pretty awesome. So it's pretty easy to forgive him if for a few weeks he doesn't feel up to working on the game. That said, when an update does come out, a $1 tier subscriber gets the update immediately. And a public release is made here a short while later.
And did I mention he distributes his Daz files freely? For those of us that get bored between the long waits between updates?

April 1st week is the release ; for 2 yrs previous 2nd updates of the yr were all out during fool's day .. so this yr won't be different .. mostly 1 st week of april likely .. but the next update will be a faster one since renders are already 80 % ... L & P if you are reading this ,,, we are waiting

Not a chance of a release date this month and I would say middle to end of April and that is maybe if he can manage to get 40% amination done before the end of the month.

It took 9 days for the animations progress bar to go from 50% to 60%. The first animation was, according to L&P, the one with the lowest quality, so I'm assuming the remaining 40% won't be completed any faster. Not very likely we'll be seeing a release in April, imo.

I did say the animation is good but I will still be happy without animations.
This progress delay on AWAM update is actually making me think the better approach is to stick with static images until you finish, then go through and add animation after.

He'll finish .160 before those animations are done.
I think the question we need to be asking is if he makes enough progress into .165, will he delay the update again and decide to release 55/60/65 together in a single update.

His Patrons are pretty pissed just so release in May would be taking the piss(yet again)
And yet he has reached 2000 patreons in a few days. The explanation is simple, the game is realistic and everyone wants to see Sofia. So it won’t matter even if there are delays in the updates because patreons want to see Sofia over anything else. The want to see the game to the finish.

This guy is something else. He can't even be bothered to address the elephant in the room. A simple statement about the animations, anything, in order to keep your patrons engaged would be good. But like I said, he doesn't care. He holds everyone, even patrons, in contempt.
Am i the only one waiting for him to start the work on 0.165 so that I could see Amber?
