Disclaimer: I havent played the newest update.
This thread has become a cess pool (partly to my doing). The truth is nobody is forcing us to play this game or pledge funds. If you/we dont like it then dont play it. It's that simple.
So why does everyone still play this game and make time to complain in thread? Because its the best game - no exceptions. Expectations are high and the game has established a precedent for greatness never before achieved.
The renders are among, if not, the best. The storytelling is top tier albeit slow but admittedly progressive. Character development is plausible and provoking. And it sounds like the animations turned out good to great.
The ONLY caveat to this project is time. The developer takes longer with each update and I'm convinced its because the project is simply too big. They reportedly recruited an animator, however, based on how long those animations took it seems unlikely. The sheer volume of paths and characters remaining is not achievable if the Dev doesnt consider help.
Unless they live in Beverly Hills theyre making good money at this point and have been for awhile. So I plead with the Dev to consider legitimately asking for help and, yes, paying them whether it be animations or programming or even storytelling or renders. Orherwise we are all on a crash course of abandonment or if we're lucky L&P sells the rights to game to a different Dev
End rant
