Is it mentioned somewhere in the game that the action takes place in the USA? As far as I know, San Alejo is in El Salvador, not in USA.

Everything about the place from climate to cars to job titles suggest an imaginary city in California, named when that state was part of Mexico & it's clear that it's supposed to be in the USA. Places with the same name are not uncommon, especially across the Spanish, French & English speaking worlds. References to "soccer" are the clincher for San Alejo's U.S. credentials.

Plus, L&P's translated and proofer, which he asked for and found, is supposed to be from the USA. Per a request that he made to find someone to help with his translations. As you pointed out, most of his references are colloquialism found in the US.
Yea, it's set in the USA, somewhere fictional that's hot and sunny. I must admit I thought the name was made up, but there actually is a "municipality" of San Alejo in El Salvador, plus a church of the same name. There's also a saint San Alejo.
Maybe that's where Sophia gets her nun-like persona, soon to change (we hope!) but takin' her time....
Not sure if he found this person or not. I'm no Dev, but why does the scenes need to be completed, plus the Art a percentage before programming and coding start. Why can you start at 25 to 50% on scene creation and then start art and coding. It seems like its easy scheduling to me and I see other Devs do it.

Sorry, but I think you are mistaken. This is imaginary city placed in imaginary country. It looks like California, but nowhere is mentioned that it is in California. "Soccer" is a word used in several countries, not only in USA.
I agree that there are a lot of references that points to USA but this was probably done for marketing purposes (people love Hollywood movies). Even assets, houses, windows, bar, school busses .... all looks like America, but it is pain in the ass to find assets that looks like German village
.I see no reason why L&P should avoid using real cities and states, but the fact is that he did. So, you are free to believe that this is USA, but you can't assume that the rules that apply in USA apply in this game. This is imaginary world reminiscent of USA, sometimes because L&P want that, and sometimes because he had no choice (except for some German cars at the beginning

By the looks of this, we're going to have to decide between Dylan with Sophia or Dylan with Ellie, we already had to decide if Dylan is with Emma or Sophia, really sucks.
I also don't get why the 2nd side job isn't just a side job update. like L&P does the next part for both side jobs in that update, so this way no matter what choice you made, you have something.

Well if it's with prepubescent boys whom she keep working them up without any sex the boys will not last long when it does happen. It's going to be 2 pump and dump and not a marathon sex escapade.
