If what you are suggesting is true then we again have three choices as with the Jacuzzi event. And again, the choice that makes Sophia look the most like a mental bimbo is the choice that continues the relationship with Sam.
In the Jacuzzi event, it was the choice where Sam didn't care at all about the consequences of his actions for Sophia if Liam had seen him in the water.
And in this event:
- When Sophia says after her orgasm "What did I just do, I love my husband!", Sam replies "You just need time". Here he drops the mask, in my opinion.
- No one enters my room without knocking. Now admittedly a white lie, but a lie.
- When Sam makes a connection between a woman's menstrual phase and her mental abilities and L&P doesn't let Sophia disagree.
I was quite happy at the end that the choice not to give Sam a kiss without consequences does not let me continue the route.
If that changes again now I wonder if two times is already a pattern and the next time we have again three decision options of which but only one, the stupidest, the route continues.

Sorry guys I went too fast on that one.
There is no bug, you actually stop the relationship if Sophia doesn't give a kiss to Sam (cheek or mouth, it doesn't matter). I must have been tired and I didn't check the code again:
Python:
menu day20_Sophia_decides_how_to_thank_Sam:
    "Thank him":
        scene day20_At_Sams_place 457
s "Thanks, Sam. But... just carrying it out like that would be a bit inconvenient, as you can imagine."
s "Plus. I really don't know if it would be appropriate to take it home with me. After all, this is basically evidence."
        scene black with fade
"Sam was a little bit disappointed but still understood Sophia's decision. And so they went down to Amber in the kitchen."
        # here there is jump so day20_Sophia_continues_romance_with_Sam remains False
        jump day20_Sophia_Sam_in_kitchen_with_Amber

"Thank him with a kiss on the cheek":
        scene day20_At_Sams_place 454 with Dissolve(0.35)

"Thank him with a kiss on his mouth":
"Sam didn't quite expect that kind of gesture and was more than pleased about it."
st "Dammit, I came here to end all this nonsense and now I'm voluntarily kissing him on the mouth. All this after we almost got caught twice!"
st "What's wrong with me? Why does Sam have to be so amazing?!"

$ day20_Sophia_continues_romance_with_Sam = True
Apologies for the commotion I might have caused.
Bishop Robert will find the appropriate penance for my recidive sinful soul.

He is doing that in between working on updates. He did not complete that so question of releasing that.
This is likely the reason why he did not started working on next update.
For me remaking old renders is a unwise option. They did not looked bad at all. These old renders may not look good from his todays work standards, but surely were a testament to developers own development as an artist.
Lets say he is going to complete this game, for which it would take him 2 decades. By that time these new renders would look old by future standards. So he would again remake them instead of working on new updates?
thanks to clarified it... the remake is not ready yet!

Thanks, for the recheche.
Sam probably won't get another chance at my game, poor Sam.
Sophia as a mental bimbo in love, who uncritically accepts everything from Sam but questions her relationship with her husband.
I will probably only watch the future Sam events in the gallery.
Why does L&P set these decision points so idiotically?

It does make me curious and somewhat cautious about what's going to happen on the Ellie and Patricia routes, since so far Sophia having sex with Liam after fixing the bathroom lock and the jacuzzi on PD11 is the first chance at sex possible on the route.

That Liam still gets to wear the pants in the relationship is one of the reasons I think the Ellie and Patricia route might not necessarily have a bad marriage-breaking ending.

I just find it curious and telling that Dylan said "dropped me off" instead of us off. If not of Dylan's character, then of L&P's. Of course it could just be that since I play the boarding school route that those details are the ones that spring to mind.

Like how I'm still curious as to why Aiden hasn't made an appearance on the boarding school route. He's essentially just disappeared into obscurity instead of following through on his threat.
I have no interest in Dylan so I would hate for Aiden to be injected into scenes.

Just the route of Elli irritates me a little, so I can hardly speculate how it should continue. There is still too much open at the moment. Dylan, Sophia, Julia, Logan are all still options.
And the variable "Elli_Bitch" (or something like that) seems to show another way.
The points of reprimand that L&P has built in so far are pure either/or decisions. So you can't expect smooth transitions but painful decisions for the player.
Why I as a player have collected sympathy points for the individual characters at all, if they do not play a role in the end, I do not understand.

Your comment doesn't make much sense, because the participation options on Patreon are mostly linked to an active subscription. People who are disappointed with L&P will certainly not pay money just to have the privilege of doing this in his forum. :ROFLMAO:

Anyway, Why don't you just leave it up to the mods of this forum to decide what's okay to talk about here? If people have fun expressing their disappointment about AWAM development speed here, I see no issue at all. When L&P is ready to seek honest feedback, he can always stop by here. :D
If I call someone a "milker" it means nothing else to me than that I call him a cheater. He cheats the people who support him financially and expect something in return. A performance that he does not provide or not in sufficient measure. Actually steals the people around the achievement entitled to them.
Now we are here on a pirate site, and many who call L&P a milker proudly call themselves pirates. They have never (and may never) support the developer.
If we free the term pirate from the romantic notions of noble freedom fighters created by Hollywood movies, then pirates were and are thieves, murderers, and at best poor bastards.
So if a thief tells a cheater his honest opinion then he is allowed to do so, there is no rule in this forum that forbids it, and he may well be right!
But he must then also expect that his position is questioned or rejected.

Not really. We know that there are going to be three branches of the Ellie route. Logan and Jules are already set up, and Sam looks to be the third option, since in the Ellie route (if you're also playing the Sam route) Sophia encourages her to think about dating him instead of Logan. And now in the Sam route, he's doing Ellie favours like rescuing her from Logan stranding her from the beach.

Dylan isn't an option in the Ellie route. From what I've seen in the bonus storyline, playing that doesn't require you to play the Ellie route at all.

In terms of relationship points though, I agree. The latest events seem to rely much more on event flags, like whether or not Sophia kissed Sam. It also appears possible to set Dylan up with Marie with 0 Dylan points. Maybe even negative.

No I hate blackmailers even more. Im only interested in lesbian content and seeing that the upcoming events are all focused on Dylan is painful.
I thought so, but didn't want to presume. My only point about Aiden being in scenes in the boarding school route is storywise it makes sense if he is as powerful as he claims. That so far he isn't reinforces the argument that he's just a school bully.

I would be almost completely persuaded by your suggestive consideration (Patricia's unexpected presence in the Parkers' home, once Dylan is excluded, would almost seem to suggest an interesting role for her in this affair) were it not for two (I think important) details:
- Patricia drives Dylan home, only if the latter has been sent to boarding school, otherwise he comes home on his own.
- I don't understand the reason why Patricia would go up to Sophia's bedroom, since, if I am not mistaken, it's the only place in the Parker house where it's possible to see what happens in Sam's room.
Granted that L&P could still invent any plausible reason to justify Patricia's presence in Sophia's bedroom, what gives me a little more pause is the possibility of tying the continuation of this eventual part of the game exclusively to Dylan's boarding school path.
I also think that the question of who might have seen Sophia naked in Sam's room is now settled (no one has seen her) and that (once Dylan is excluded) to speculate that someone else might have seen her is nothing more than giving undue importance to yet another sibylline answer that L&P gave to someone who asked for clarification on the next developments in his game.
Once I became confident that Dylan wasn’t watching through the window, I pretty much forgot about it – until Patricia strutted into my brain. I’d really like to think that L&P worries about tightening up the development as much as most of us do, and there were a number of renders and captions just in this Sam event concerning the fact that Sam’s room could be seen from Sophia’s house. I hope he isn’t just yanking everybody’s chain and he does in fact have a reason for putting this into the story. There are a number of these little moments where one wonders if there is a purpose for it somewhere down the line, or if it is just a distraction for no reason. It's also a downside to releasing part of the story before the rest of it is complete - it's hard to go back and edit out unnecessary things if the story changes. It’s clear that Sophia not only has an exhibitionist fetish but a danger fetish – was all of this just a way to heat up Sophia?

As to the how – first off, does Dylan being downstairs after Sophia goes up and changes need to be on the Boarding School route, or can he just be coming home from school on a non-Boarding School route? Regardless – just for one quick simple example – Patricia is at the door. “Hi, Dylan, is your mom home? She borrowed one of my blouses and I need to wear it tonight. I know what it looks like, I’ll just go up to her closet and find it.” I’m sure there are many possible scenarios for anybody to be in the house and looking out the window.

Yeah it would make story sense for him to actually be shown as a bigger threat I personally dislike the content. Now you've got me wondering why he doesn't just force himself on Sophia since we see how he treats his own girlfriend.
A possible scene I can think of is that he attacks Dylan to make good on his threat but he injures him enough that Dylan events no longer trigger and Aiden actually has to go to jail because cameras catch him being the aggressor or something like that.

Sorry guys, can anyone tell me if the blackmail with Mr. Bennet is still ongoing or has it been thrown off the story ?
Don't remember.
It's still there. He could have had a bigger, broader role but the Dev decided his story strand would be cut short. We havn't seen him for years but in San Alejo time, (i.e. the Dev's pace), that's less than a fortnight.

It wouldn't even need to be Aiden himself. A few renders of a thug bumping into him on the street and mentioning that Aiden is watching would be enough to get the point across.

But then there's no reason for Dylan events at all if the player has no Dylan points. He could have just stayed at the boarding school. Aiden being the threat he claims to be would make that essential.

If you ready the Patreon messages there is no one really complaining much. Most even say Take your Time.
Could that have something to do with the fact that they're young & still at a stage of their lives where they think they're going to live forever? Bear in mind that the Dev put the issue to supporters of whether event based updates were the way to go & result in one per month. I'm guessing the answer was yes because we now have event-based updates but they take more than double the forecast time. They've turned out to be the most horrible way to tell ANY story.

Aladdin, "Oh genie of the lamp, my first wish is to marry the Princess. Genie, "I hear & obey but just give me 5 years. I'll get right back to you. I've got 1,001 things to sort out first." ['Take your time.' Take longer if you need to.']

Many people here on this thread will, (hopefully) be alive in 2055 or whenever. I doubt that many of them will still be wondering if the 'period drama' set in 2017, with the funny clothes & retro technology, has resulted in Dylan fucking his mother yet, especially with the teenage kids of their own giving them enough headaches. Maybe the internet as we know it won't even exist & they'll be watching holographic Sophia & family at the press of a button?

There's many ways this could be sorted & many have been suggested. There's only one fool-proof method to initiate positive change & that's a mass Patron desertion, which as we can see, won't happen. In the meantime the same views will continue to be expressed.

I hope the author will consider the speed of the game. Many people are intrigued, but they may not live to the end. Like this global epidemic, the author seems to be doing more than one job at present

We don't know what other job he may or may not have. He promised that when he reached a given target, that he set himself, he would leave the further education course he was on to devote himself to this full-time & hire a team. When the target was reached & exceeded, he simply increased it & I believe may have done so again. Moving the goalposts is easier than recruiting & managing a team. Teamwork is not how he wishes to proceed.

Rest assured he's aware of the pacing issue. He's an intelligent man. AWAM is literally his pension plan, or part of it. He's said as much himself. He will always consider what can be done to alter the pace & has several times undertaken measures to speed up, each of which has resulted in slowing things down. There's been mention of a another move to quicken things up in 1 to 2 years, so, if past practice is anything to go by, we can look forward to even slower development.

Whatever happens there will always be supporters who would praise him & tell him what a marvellous job he's doing, even if there was one event per annum, which is a situation that's not impossible to imagine. His plan & way of working contain no incentive to go faster. He knows that he could make a lot more money with a modicum of extra effort but why bother, as money isn't everything. This has been going on for years & fans can either like it, or not. What he's doing is so obvious that I almost admire him. No other developer could get away with it in quite the same unique style.

I long ago stopped believing the Dev, or the idea that I'd ever see the end of AWAM. I stick around for the renders & out of curiousity.
