L&P promised a slow burn game, and that's obviously what AWAM has become. In my opinion, to a degree that is already too extreme for a porn game (also also because it took years until finally the mid-game was actually reached), but this can be argued about.

Anyway, at some point, even a slow burn story has to pick up speed and make real progress. For this progress, the categorisation as a porn game is not an excuse but rather reflects the objective. It was clear from the start that Sophia would have to start reducing her restraint and start so action. Not from the very beginning (because it is a slow burn game), but certainly also not never. Also, It is important to realise that virtually nothing has happened so far. The whole game has only just reached a level between a hand job and a blow job. Compared to the mass of games here, that is almost nothing in progress.

The point is, even with AWAM as a slow burn porn game, AWAM is still a porn game. If you imagined something different, it's not L&P's fault, but your own. Therefore, nobody here has to apologise for AWAM for being a porn game. Instead, AWAM beeing a porn game and is a good thing. :) The fact that real progress is finally being made is not a problem, but a more than overdue necessity. :) AWAM is a porn game and as all porn games, there is sexual action. It's really not difficult to understand, I think.
The real porn game is L&P screwing all of us up the ass, and we like it! (breakout the Vaseline)

He lost a lot of paid members
As he should. This is the game you love to hate ! THe success is wrapped around the Fan Art and those that make them. Then everyone talks about how that should be part of his game.... But never is....
For the past almost 7 years he's lost alot of subscribers at the beginning of every single month. That applies to pretty much every creator on Patreon. Reason for that is the billing cycle, as many subscribers drop out at the 1st of a new month. Got nothing to do with losing supporters, and numbers will recover over the next weeks.

Besides, L&P's patron count is always going down after a release, as naturally many people will wait for a release month before subscribing again. Which is the smart thing to do, especially with developers who need another 40 years to complete their games. But there's obviously the core supporters who stay subscribed even during the several months without a release.

It's just how Patreon works unless the creator decides to pick a different billing option (which is rather new'ish I believe).

Wow, he actually hit an all-time high in January. But yeah, it's amazing to see how many people misread the stats. The best analysis of L&P's support is that it's been steady for the last 12+ months. There's really no evidence that he's losing support. Now, I would argue that it's suspicious how extremely consistent his month to month support is, but that's another story.

If changing Sophia's model doesn't damage his support, then nothing will. Many of us have said it for years now, but he's big enough that it would take a complete collapse for support to drop in a meaningful way.

Hate to say it, but if I had to take a guess, I'd say this PD might actually see an increase in average number of supporters due to the content that's planned, which will only reinforce L&P's idea of doing things..and that's obviously bad for everyone in the long run. Dylan and Ellie are always up there when it comes to favourite character polls, and with L&P speedrunning Sophia's corruption it's likely that the numbers will go up. Well, that is unless the new model really turns out to be a visual game changer.

I'm not a fan of Dylan personally, and I'm not quite sure if the influx of support in January is because of him, Ellie or the both combined..or maybe even the animated handjob scene, but it's probably a mix of it all. Thinking about it, it's been years since we had an event with Ellie... Really not sure why this release was so popular as the event itself was so redundant, adding nothing to the main story, especially since there was no Sophia in it. I'm fairly certain that his next release will see a high number again if only for the fact that alot of people want to see the new Sophia. Oh, and the first Sophia+Ellie event in years will prolly just add to that.

That said, would be "funny" if L&P somehow goes up to/beyond the 3000 supporter mark and still comes up with excuses on how he can't afford any help whatsoever. lol

Edit: I'm also surprised with the all-time high in January to be honest. 2022+2023 have been really stagnant, even a slight downward trend was visible, but for some reason this latest release, which atleast most of the F95 community saw as being completely needless, turned out a big success for L&P. I have really no idea why, especially seeing that Sophia+Dylan p2 (Jacuzzi scene) couldn't even get close. Maybe it really is the Ellie effect...who knows.

XaGnard...I definitely agree with those that say this game has gone on long enough without any real forward progression. Any progression is more of a lateral move as we have now found out Sophia was not the conservative female that required any lenght of time to corrupt. Sophia's corruption portrayal starts and stops as on a whim as does her memory, emotions and attitudes based on the devs mindset for each event.
I was initially attracted to this VN novel porn game, because of the potential of a good story. The quality renders were a departure from such games as SummerTime and Twist. But now 7 years into this, and the story and renders do not hold the same fascination as they once did, as members have become blaise on see Sophia in the same poses as thoughts just in a different situation.
We must also calculate how each choice leads to a different timeline branch in the story. I am not sure anyone has taken the time to map out the fractal branching and how many different branches must be accounted for with each new event. This all and we are only on day 14. I have come to realize that I will never see the end to this game. As the branches multiply with each choice, and the dev incessant additions of new characters, The dev will eventually become overwhelmed and move onto something else.
