Because, at least for now, Patreon don't check what it could or seems to be, but what it is. And imo, it's simply because they don't care at all in the end. Money is money.
It needs no motivation or expertise. Devs just fear people won't follow. You can be sure that part of patrons won't follow because you can't use Paypal on Suscribestar for example.
Everyone who complains about this game at one point were fans of the game but tired of slow updates. They take their anger out with mean comments here in the thread but they all love the game.

I don't think Patreon would care enough to investigate stuff like that. As long as the game on their website respect their rules, they take their commission and that's all. I mean he distribute AWAM via his website so i don't think that is the problem.
But there are many Devs on Subscribestar that has more than 1000 - 2000 subscribers even without PayPal option. I don't think every Patreon would be against it but a few. They'll have to provide their card info for billing but the dev won't be able to view the personal info.

i always wondered why all the other VN like this one was reported and taken down/banned but not his/hers and why they never did anything about it but still people snitching about it and reporting him are a bunch of keyboard warrior bitches but all that shit aside im kinda hoping it fucks up his lively hood a little bit to get him/her off their asses and work to finish the GD game already and also i find it hilarious that it took a lesbian scene with the daughter to get the shit under review / taken down for potential violation either way its serious and i suspect that it wont end and that the reporting little bitches will keep at it until his/her shit gets taken down for good . but i would say instead of that sue the mofo if you subbed to the turd to begin with to get your money back especially if you lost/paid that asshole thousands of dollars over the years and can prove it as the game is not a finished product so im sure somewhere their is a loophole in some law were you could recoup some of the money lost but im not a lawyer but who knows i think though that reporting for the sake of reporting is overboard and fucked up but you get what you though for stalling all these years and not finishing the damn thing up already your bound to make dozen if not hundreds of enemies from that alone
