Lol what? Where are you getting your information from? I don't know anything about greeks or their ways, but the scientific reason for children marrying in young age and becoming parents when they hit puberty has to do with the fact that life expectancy was quite less in older times, people used to die by the time they were 40-45. It doesn't mean we need to bring back pedophilia just to fight the "prejudice" of our era. And where are you getting your news about India? Man, you westerners still have a distorted image of India. Either you are like India is so spiritual, or you are like India is so backwards, mothers there are teaching their young daughters "vaginal gymnastics", whatever that means. Your two braincells might be overworked from all the bullshit. Give them a rest.

Life expectancy being 40-45 in the past is a common misconception.

Life expectancy was 5000 years ago just as high as is today, the reason people know it as 40-45 is because chances of survival at birth were extremely low... So a huge amount of deaths at 0-1 is what brought it to 40-45, not people dying of old age at 40-45.

The chances of survival past 5 years old, shot up only, maybe, 100 years ago at most (definetly not before russian czars).
