VN - Ren'Py - A Wife and Mother [v0.215f] [Lust & Passion]

I started reading this VN because of good reviews on its graphics and writing. But after reading up to day 12-14, this AVN made me feel deceived.

IMHO, this is a VN for lesbians in disguise of incest and "slow burn". I don't really mind a VN for specific target group, but I don't appreciate feeling deceived after reading some. Dev made this subtle to attract more readers, but it was obvious soon as MC advanced with females a lot more than male characters. All male characters were described as "pygmy", cheaters, assholes, blackmailers while female characters were active, kind and cool. So you can guess where this is going.

Renders in the VN were high quality for sure, but I have read better writings. I often felt too much unnecessary details and repeated text as MC's thought. Sometimes, it felt like reading some raw text from character bibles.

I would have given four stars for its good graphics and so-so writing. But I took off one star for the cheap trick widening target readers.

I followed this game from the very beginning and was really surprised from the quality of the art, the story and the MC herself looking damn good.
- At that point I was really excited to see where this game would go.

Here we are - 4 years later.
Its so sad to see a potential good game have come to this state where its almost "dormant".

Cons:
- Game have almost no content of what it lead up to from the beginning(incest).
- Updates come out per ½ year at the moment, and are very disappointing each time.
- Lackluster story - For now anyway.
- Biggest blueball simulator ever created.

Pros:
Beautiful artwork & Main Character.

Too long to get nowhere, the premise of these games is that the character meets certain parameters, if it does not reach that, the effort becomes something negative. Mainly sex is what guides the player but if the game does not contain that, much less compensates it with any eroticism, it tires the player if it is not awarded, I clarify NO SEX

Grade 1 because i ve played similar games and when it came to the good part either got abandoned or disapointed me with the lack of sexual content so i think as the game is now is not worth to play it come back after 5 years...

Points in game are strict and useless if you have lost 1 point you are out of route losing much plot or all the plot from there also we have a ton of filthy points but we don;t see any change at mc behavior so they are useless as well 0 points

Walkthrough it does not tell what conquences you might have if you choose between choice a or b instead you see it in the game as you progress and many routes are now locked thanks to the lack of points 0 points as well

Sexual content minimal to none existent also i am afraid that the majority of the game will be like this a sea of text and choices that blocks you from progresing further and the final reward 4 or 5 sex scenes if you are lucky totally not worth it 1 point

If the protagonist did not have such odd hang ups while getting morally loose, the game would be near perfect. Just very odd hang ups for the main character that do not fit, nor belong in the story. Seems to me they were put in there to try and make it look like a further fall to temptation, but a swing and a miss in my humble opinion. Other than that, great game. Oops,except for the typical loser husband. Too cliche. Have really enjoyed it overall though. Much better than 97% of others.

Absolutely captivating game, thanks to the excellent writing and insane graphics.
The build up is so well done.
The MC feels real, and she is very attractive.
I'm craving the incest scenes with the son.
I just hope you can update the Mac version please that is behind the Windows one.

Could use some work on the writing, and there also seems to be a lot of dialogue as well. I also believe that it would be better if the story is moved forward in a better way after each major choice. Aside from these things, I really liked it. You can tell that the developer of this game has put in a lot of time and effort making this. In spite of all of that, this AVN should have been much further along with the plot due to how long it has been out. There should not be promises made if they cannot be kept. This AVN had potential, but I am not so sure about it now. I am sorry if it seems like I am attacking the dev, but I believe that many key parts of what is supposed to make a good AVN got thrown out of the window in favor of the plot, and art. I think if the important aspects of the game were better balanced, then the AVN would have been much better. But so far, it is not that far above average.

Edit: Also the only erotic content happens if you are faithful to your probably unfaithful husband. Even there, it is not that much. In an AVN that is also about corruption and infidelity, I do not see how that makes sense. So far, the plot has also not went anywhere. Almost 4 years and no good development in the main story. After thinking about all of this, and replaying with my partner, I think I am going to take it down two stars in the rating. I am a bit sad because this AVN had so much potential.

In the beginning the game the was with lots of promises, but as time passed it turned into a total letdown.
I guess its been around <4 yrs since the game is launched but still no sex scenes, just voyeurism .

It’s one of the most realistic game I have ever seen. The mom's character is so perfect with her moral, values and lust. People should realise that sex scene is not everything what should be craved of. Rather passion and excitement is far better than sex scene.

Where the development completely derailed from being a sex game to trying to win a freaking Noble prize in literature.
The amount of time spent on this game: three years six months and ten days of development as of writing this review.
The dev has clearly no idea about story building. He builds up the tempo through correct means but it takes too long(too much reading). In the end there is no release of the suspense. The player or in this example the house wive is left with literally blue balls.
Let that sink in..three years...six months..and ten days of cliffhangers...without proper continuation.
Ladies and gentlemen...what i mean is...
THERE IS ZERO SEX OF THE WIFE WITH ANYONE ELSE THEN HER HUSBAND.
The wife turned into a torturer. Walking tease devil.
We get constantly the same content of soft porn over and over again. Teasing, touching, kissing with other females etc. She doesn't even touch any other man in a sexual way... Literally no artistic vision.
The worst part in the game is without a doubt the bikini show case. Between each scene we got tons of text to chew through...
Then we have to pick either the Yoga scene or Alyssa. That is a terrible development decision. Lost content. Those should be separate.
If the next update doesn't have a cheating sex scene then you are guilty of a crime for not unsubbing...

The game is good, the author gradually adds the development of both the game and the history of the game itself. Well-made shots of scenes. But judging by the actions of the author of the game and its updates, he wants to smoothly and evenly develop the game - at the moment, the author is not very willing to try to develop the content separately. Maybe the author is afraid that if he adds porn content to the game and spoils something if this is so, then for the Author there are the right words: Lust & Passion DO NOT WORRY porn content will not spoil the game but only improve - Make a smooth flow of CONTENT 18+ is not mandatory that the main character Sophie should not stogo not this go and start quite podrad to sleep. Well, you yourself Lust & Passion know everything, but on the other hand, you don't need to wait 1,000 years with the input of 18+ CONTENT . There are good moments in the game where Sophie is very relaxed and gives in to her desires but the biggest such moments are : 1) Restaurant when she takes off her panties 2) The sauna where Sophie stared at her friend's boyfriend and the best moment is 3) Sophie imagines how she is engaged in passionate sex with a prisoner in prison (At this point, not a big scene where Sophie presents herself and with whom this is still the only such scene) the scene with the prison is very good I hope that further in the game there will be more scenes like Lust & Passion porn content will be in the plus for all of you in the game and the players will be happy so we all hope that you Lust & Passion will develop the game and begin to add 18+CONTENT. The game is good but it's time for Sophie to at least at least kavota past her husband at least to kiss and tal on the increase.

It is all about teasing and not fullfilling and the developers are good at it.

Storylines never complete, instead new storylines are created. And the developers have taken teasing to the next level by applying it to releases too. They figured that if you manage to keep people exited you can keep actual releases to a minimum.

If you like being teased endlessly, this is your game. It's not for me though, there are better games out there, better story and better sex.

Best game, with an nice story and pretty interesting characters. The mother is one of the hotest characters ever.
All the cheating options are really good.
- Sophia. One of the best female characters.
- Female characters in general are really hot.

I last played this game about 2 years ago.
Now I have played again, but with new content and ready to share some thoughts.

What I like:
- Renders. Overall picture quality.
- Sophia. One of the best female characters I've seen in this type of story.
- Female characters in general. Especially Ellie.
And accordingly, I really like the lesbian route.
Running in before I will say that this is the only thing that keeps my interest in this game so far.
- The author knows how to stage scenes, so even in the most innocent scenes, eroticism and sexual tension are felt.

What I do not like:
- I love slow hot plots, but a complete absence of sex scenes after 4-5 years of development is a mockery.
I'm not saying that she should fuck everything that moves, but she should already have some kind of affair on the side.
- Lack of normal male characters.
Now we are offered minors, blackmailers, infantilles, old perverts, and so on.

In my humble opinion, a few normal adult male characters (thirty, forty years old) with whom Sophia could have an affair on the side would perfectly fit the plot.
They would look great against the background of an infantile and stupid husband.

The only scenes with men that I really liked were the scenes in the sauna and in the club.
And then, the matter did not go further than teasing.

- A point system that just baffles me.
In what way can the prohibition of a minor son from touching his mother's ass and breasts prevent Sophia from flirting with other men?

- Long intervals between updates and the total amount of content per update.
But this is a trifle, and it is due to the quality.

In conclusion.
Great picture, mostly good characters (women) but a complete lack of intimate scenes, disappointment in terms of the plot and male characters.

With such a pace, we will not see anything worthwhile for another 5-10 years.

Personally, I have no hope of change. And judging by Patreon, the author and his audience are satisfied with everything.

I felt compelled to write a review of my personal opinion of AWAM after finishing the game's most current release. Please keep in mind these are my opinions and may not reflect your own. You should know immediately that this game is a slow burn, and Sophia's fall from grace is a slow and steady decline. If you're looking for immediate satisfaction, this isn't the droid you're looking for.

I wanted first to compliment the writer's passions for classic rock, guitar, and art history. It was very informative and enjoyable to experience in the game. In-depth discussions of scales on a guitar, musical theory, and Madonna conspiracies with AC/DC references were a pleasant find in an adult-oriented game. I may have even learned a few things which are always satisfying as a reader.

The protagonist, Sophia, is quite likable. There is a subtle naivety to her that teeters between preposterous and captivating. I grew up around LDS families in my youth, and there were many mothers I knew that was a lot like Sophia. The very thought of someone seeing anything below their shoulders was enough to warrant a gasp of shock, especially with their children around. So in my mind, I had to basically treat Sophia like a Mormon mother being corrupted with the environment around her to get myself in the mindset to see where she was coming from. To go into a whole tangent about Sophia would be long and arduous, so that I will reserve that for another time. But overall, I loved her character, but there is a lot that I also didn't love.

The husband, Liam, is probably the most casual and boring of the characters in this story. He is very much caught up in work while trying to maintain friendships and appearances most of all. The boring male archetype is trying hard to be ahead of the game and jealous of others who are more successful. Pretty much the dynamic for most male backstories I've seen in film, tv, and games. Not that it bothers me, it makes the other aspects of the game far more interesting to consider as he is so disinteresting and easy to dislike. Especially the casino nonsense.

Dylan, to me, is a bit of a throwaway character. I feel he is another standard archetype of a young guy. Horny all the time, infatuated with sex, and into sports/video games. Nothing truly compelling about him nor do I feel or care about his plight. Honestly, I avoided him as much as I could and felt nothing when I sent him along to boarding school.

Sam was quite a surprise of a character; while carrying a cool and calm intelligence and a helpful and confident demeanor, he is quickly transformed into a Dylan clone when the two of them are alone. I was hoping he would develop into a character that really educated Dylan on acting mature and erring on the side of intelligence but instead went the swooning, perverted idiot route behind the scenes. Especially disappointing after the great scene between him and Sofia during the guitar scene.

Ellie was probably the most interesting character outside of Sophia. A certain wonderment to her interactions with her mother that really felt compelling and genuine. The awe she has of all the world around her, her friend's discoveries, her own, her interactions with her mother, and her friends are very real-world feelings to me. Though obviously, the fantasy comes in with the mother/daughter interactions of the sexual nature. Julia and Ellie's most erotic and intense scene set up Sophia for the best slow-burn lesbian scene I've ever experienced. My body literally shook with anticipation and eagerness of the scene that I felt concluded with a very unexciting conclusion. However, nothing can take away that intense moment between Julia and Sophia. Powerful stuff.

Carl and Patricia and the various other characters pop in a bit and out a bit, and there's no real depth to their backstories. But I at least wanted to share my thoughts up until that point. Thanks for the wonderful experience, I truly enjoyed the game, and I appreciate the hard work put into the writing and the excellent models and scenes. There's a lot to be desired in character development, but at its core, this is a solid experience.

Simply perfect game, I dare say it is one of the best on this page.

Graphics and characters are very well done

I like the fact that the MC is female (the vast majority of games the MC is male and that gets boring)

The story does not have as many cliches as most games (In those games you just start playing and you are practically fucking everyone, in this one no, I liked that)

And personally I do not like that there are routes of lesbianism, but hey, that is optional.

Love this game. Can't wait until it is finished. The build up is way more realistic than most corruption games. Shame I didn't find it when it was done because now I have to wait. Sophia is a great protagonist that is consistent! None of this "she's an average mom" then day two she goes "well I guess I have to suck my son off".

Very interesting game with nice graphic, story and routes on the charaters. Hopefully this gets continued. Runs stable and interesting with a very good story in the background which is written in a well written storyline.

A great game with a decent amount of meaningful choices. Definitely not a game for those looking for a quick fap.

There is WAY too much fluff text with the characters even thinking of a sentence then saying it out loud, so the player reads it twice.
I turned the auto advance speed all the way up and skipped probably 80% of the dialog without missing anything while also becoming invested in the characters. There is a ton of text that doesn't move the story forward in any way. (It's not unrealistic dialog, its just not entertaining or useful).

The visuals start pretty rough with black screens being used way too much at first however towards the end of this version it is much better. The one sex scene I was able to find wasn't bad.

Overall a positive experience with good characters and interesting story arcs. Looking forward to see where it goes.

Overall this game scores very well. For me that's because it is such a well developed game. Might not have the lewdest of scenes, nor progress really fast, but it's a complete game with a unique story.

Rather than the usual "lost male, reconnecting familymembers, boom sex" There is a great story here - won't go into details, but it develops really well. One of the great things isthat even thought it's a long story, there is enough progress to make it feel rewarding. At the same time it features enough choices that actually impact the story and scenes.

The renders are good, finally not the usual characters and scenes - which is great.

A warning is needed though: it's a slow burn. If you're looking for quick sexyness, go find another game. Are you up for a story that develops with your choices and not immediately looking for hardcorde scenes, this is the game for you.
