Do you guys know what is the alternative event?
There's 2:
  • If you refuse Aiden, Sophia will take Dylan to boarding school, but if you don't refuse Aiden then Sophia will take Dylan to a martial arts lesson
  • Sophia will likely stay and watch an event with Ellie and Julia, or she'll leave and have an event with Alyssa.
If Dylan goes to boarding, this will pretty much end his events and progression with Sophia for a while, and if Sophia doesn't go with Alyssa then it will end her route completely.

The Dylan's boarding school and defense training events splitting up going to make this game even bigger! Just imagine, l&p is going to have to make two sets of renders for each event that are compatible with both routes. The updates will be even slower!
There won't be any events with Dylan at boarding school after he's sent there, so L&P won't have to make up 2 sets of renders. Whenever Dylan is allowed to come back from boarding school, that might require some alternate renders, but there won't be any required while he's there.

So the next update will be 1/4 of a full day :D . So he needs for 25% of a day 4 months = 1 year and 4 months for a full day :D Pls stop support this monkey if you do :D
1/3 of a day, actually. The split is now morning, noon, and night.

if the time saved is spent elsewhere, in the end, it is the same.
at the end of the day, it doesn't get production going any faster.
that's just my opinion.
I understand you! And you are right!
We only hope that the time saved is well spent. ;)

We won't know that for sure. Afterall the title is A wife and a MOTHER, the story might go in a direction Sophia taking a visit to the place where Dylan's school is.

And i believe majority of players would pick defense route, so the alternate school route is pretty pointless imo. It's just making the game bigger and updates slower for no reason.

Actually we do, because L&P has said that there won't be anything more from Dylan until he comes back from the boarding school. So for those who send him there, that's it, they won't see him for a while.

Events where Dylan did not get sent away will still be made, but there won't be anything for when he's there.

Ouch... That's going to be one hell of a dry spell.

Hey, where are the sigs with Dylan in them? Or Sam for that matter? For the two most popular male characters in the game, they appear underrepresented in sigs

Nah, not really... Well, maybe since that's only for those sending him away as a main save, but for those who didn't send him away as their main path? ... he'll still appear in the updates with Sophia. :sneaky:(y)

Hahaha, I thought it was better NOT sending the son away from his mother all along so I guess it won't be much of a problem for their storyline  (y)
I only sent Dylan away to see if anything interesting could happen with Amber, but all of this could back fire if Sophia decides to spoil Dylan rotten because she feels guilty about sending him away

I know you did and why because by your suggestion or that idea, I have a save file of that as well, remember? For the exact same reasons, to see what or if something happens with Amber and if it will affect Sophia in some way.

It all depends on L&P and if he'll do that in the "boarding school branch" or not at all. If he doesn't address anything with Amber and Sophia's reactions then I'll delete those files and just continue with my main path and branch from the defense lessons. (y)

Just thought I'd share another (depressing) estimation of completion time for this game.

Since it's now looking like September for the the 0.100 update, the development on Day 12 will presumably start in the same month. Day 12 also begins a cycle of 3 update per day for different times of the day (morning, noon, night).

The 0.100 update will have just over 1300 renders for 1 half-day and will have taken over 5 months to complete (April-August, released in September). The previous 0.095 update had just over 500 renders and was completed in around 2 months (February-March, released at the beginning of April).

Taking these kinds of numbers into account, and generously giving the benefit of the doubt that a roughly 1000 render update could take just 4 months, this is what we're looking at in terms of a timeframe:
NOTE: Day 15 confirmed to be one long event so will likely be done in just one update, not 3

19 Playable Days (PD) Remaining - 2 Months (M) per update with 500-600 renders max
  • (18 PD x 6 M) + 2 M [Day 15] = 110
  • 110 ÷ 12 ≈ 9 years and 2 months
19 Playable Days (PD) Remaining - 4 Months (M) per update with 1000+ renders
  • (18 PD x 12 M) + 4 M [Day 15] = 220
  • 220 ÷ 12 ≈ 18 years and 5 months
Bear in mind that this calculation assumes that each day will have roughly the same number of events throughout and therefore continue to require 3 updates per day. It is possible that as the days progress, the number of events will grow smaller and there may be even more long event days like Day 15 or even days with so few events they could be merged together. These numbers also assume a constant flow of development and don't factor in breaks for vacations and things like that.

Therefore, it is possible that these numbers are a dramatic overestimation, but they still paint a very stark picture of this game's future if the rest of the game continues to be developed as it is now in terms of how many events it has per day.
This really describes the problem in detail. (y)

Well L&P did say that it would open up a little interesting side story.Husband works 24/7,Ellie could probably spend time with her friends and that leaves Sophia home alone for a while at least.I am sure that your imagination can fill in the rest.

What's this about day 15? I've been curious about that day for a while, since there is no Dylan or Ellie events sceduled for then. Also happens to be the day before things get "wild"
