My friend, this update will take me much longer than 45 minutes. This is not because I go through all the routes, but because I will copy each slide and use the Yandex Image Translator, which defines the text and translates it. As you can imagine, the process will take several hours.

I don't know if you also need to save the translation because you want to make your Russian version, but if I may I'd suggest the app Google Translate (Android/iOS) that works in Augmented Reality now and it will superpose the translation to the text you are point your phone to. Here's an example (I've no idea about the quality of the translation though...)

You can use this if you just want to enjoy a little bit more the game instead of keep saving the images.
And if you need to translate the dialogues, I think it's better to work directly in the .rpy so that the copy/paste can ease the task.
Sorry if these advices are not helpful because for some reasons they do not fit with your needs, but you really triggered my congenital laziness for repetitive tasks !

Thank you! And you have absolutely nothing to apologize for, despite the fact that I will not take your advice.
I use a PC, not an android.
I do not translate in order to make the Russian version of the game, others do it and later I will get it.
And I like to move slowly, delve into the dialogues, gradually reveal the continuation of the story for myself.

I think he started working around January 15, maybe January 17-18. After two and a half weeks of vacation. He had already bought the first two 3090s. Problems with Vcards appeared and lasted about 2 weeks.
Why do I say that? He had already sold the 2 Titans, without testing the 2 3090s. If he had started in early January he would have realized the Vcard problems earlier.
His target was April 30 to put the update on the market. But I think he realized, by the patrons reaction, that he could push it further, towards May.
By mid-March he thought it would be good to inflate the Aiden event, I think he tweaked it in the sense that he added scenes with the idea of finishing at the end of May.
But again a few miscalculations and maybe laziness, takes us to mid-June.

After this update it will take another 2-3 weeks off, already 5-6 weeks. Pretty good life, an employee only has 1 month of vacation.

In germany, you usually have 30 days (= 6 weeks) of vacation per year. Therefore, 2 or maybe even 3 weeks of vacation in the summer are completely normal.

One of the things I've noticed while I've been trying my hand at editing AWAM is how much unnecessary dialogue there is. I've occasionally taken out whole blocks just because they don't add anything to a particular scene, and removing it helps the scene flow better.

Which made me realise that for every block of conversation I take out, that's an unnecessary render. And I'm only on day 1. Really makes me curious how much I'll end up taking out after people have commented about not liking the amount of internal monologue Sophia has at times.

I rewrote the latest shower scene myself and came to the same conclusion! So many blocks of text could be condensed - three or four lines from Sophia in a row, then two or three from Ellie in a row, instead of alternating back and forth over and over, is just one example, but yeah, so much could just be cut out without losing information or intent by just re-wording certain bits and re-arranging a few other bits.

I think I ended up cutting about 10-15% of the lines though I didn't keep track of how many unique images I commented out.

(Speaking of day 1, did you change the altitude of the airport from 3000M to something more realistic for the 25 minute drive to San Alejo which is supposedly only another 30-minute drive to the beach?)

I don't even know how to comment on this without hurting you. Do you stand up and program the story just because you think you can tell the plot better? What hubris! Not even editors in publishing houses act like this and think they are doing something good for the author and his work. What you may think is superfluous is what makes history come to life for others.
They have a story to tell their style, L&P has its style. You will never agree on what should and should not go into a story. That is artistic freedom. Even if this sounds a bit strange on a porn game.

Um, I hate to correct you but you're categorically wrong about the role of an editor at a publishing house: editors absolutely DO take an active role in cutting things down, addressing issues of continuity and the like. While they would not change the wording of a particular line or lines, they absolutely do red-line passages, they absolutely do flag certain lines as awkwardly written or grammatically incorrect or inconsistent with a character's personality, or a descriptive that doesn't match an earlier description, and they absolutely do put in questions, comments, and suggestions, and they absolutely do require cuts in order to move ahead to publication.

Hmmm.. Maybe he's changed his workflow, but I've noticed he tends to only release a few days after P&T hits 100%. Guess we'll see. I'm not expecting anything from this update anyway, so a few days difference after an update 4 months late means little to me.

He'll to bug-testing along the way, of course, but you also need to do end-to-end testing, so that's understandable.

I wonder if he count also scenes like Elly/Julia and Elly/Logan.
