DOL is the acronym for Decisions of Life - it's a sanitized version A Wife and Mother (incest content removed with a surgical machete) that the developer has to upload to Patreon to meet their content guidelines.
When you sign up as a Patron you get instant access to all the tier-appropriate stuff on his Patreon feed, including Decisions of Life - but in order to get A Wife and Mother updates you have to wait a day or two for the developer to send a Patreon message, asking you to email him, that takes the communication off Patreon so he can set you up with a login and link to the AWAM Game Website where the real game can be downloaded.
The problem for a lot of people right now is two-fold; L&P is having issues uploading the real version of the game to the AWAM website, also a bunch of thirsty people are rushing to his Patreon page to pledge so they can get the update- without realizing that account creation for the AWAM website is a completely manual process that L&P has to have time to go through and do, which he doesn't right now, because of the upload issues.

I began to follow AWAM since the beggining. The art is good, the story promising... and that is the thing. I don´t pay a coin so as I told before, I am not entitled to complaints. But, now, after a lot of time I have concluded that this dev is perhaps one of the most unreliable of them all. I love a good slow-burnt story... but not at this pace of uploads. I totally disregard his comments, since I think now it is clear that he say one thing and do another (willingly or unwillingly). Perhaps he bites more than he can chew or maybe is the scheme some of my fellow-companions here in the forum said. At the end, I am adicted to this kind of games, so I will look for this or something else to have my wank (and I'd rather wank of something not planely stupid or simple... same as I'd prefer to watch erotic movies than this kind of porn which are just like gimnastic routines). So after all, I am like anyone here, waiting and hoping that the game itself keeps on going to get it for free and enjoy it (if it is not all about teasing and there is some actual sex).

That is simply factually incorrect, and I will break it down point by point from the point of a game developer who has played all 3 games, and enjoys all 3 of the games mentioned.
With all due respect BAD and CoBD are a few notches below AWAM in terms of render quality, realism, and game mechanics.
AWAM does indeed have very beautiful 720 renders. However, the other two games mentioned both have very beautiful 1080 renders.
AWAM does have some realism granted, but so does BAD. All of the characters in that are developed at good pacing too, and have a lot of depth. COBD is a bit less realistic as it does have some sci-fi elements to it granted, but the characters still act in a realistic way.
In terms of game mechanics are you kidding dude? AWAM code is very simple, and there isn't like a cellphone, and no sandbox portions, or anything like that. It is much simpler mechanics. You got the various points for good wife, and naughty for Sophia and each character builds up points for such, but the game mechanics on AWAM have been a point of complaints by many people. It could definitely use a jump-to-day feature with how long each day is in the game, and sometimes you miss a whole line and screw up because you missed getting like 1 lesbian point or something. Mechanics wise it is the worst of the 3.
Just about EVERY AVN delivers more goods than AWAM but thats part of what makes AWAM special. Its also part of what makes AWAM so frustrating.
You were correct on this point, I can't argue that. JOHN would be a good comparison in this department.
Nonetheless AWAM is graphically the most impressive AVN with among the most massive storylines ever attempted.
The storyline is big yes, but graphics are 720 & only 1 animation. So it can't be the most graphically impressive game sorry. I like the renders don't me wrong, but there a lot of 1080s out there.
In fact just about any knowledgeable AVN dev or even fan would bet AGAINST this project finishing because its such an enormous project in terms of quality and content.
I'm not betting that this project will be abandoned. L&P has been making updates since 2017 and still going. It's going to be a while longer. He makes good money on his Patreon so its not in danger of running out of funding. So I'm guessing he should keep wanting to make good money on it. It would be nice if he hired some help, or got better hardware or both to speed things along.

I think at one point he realized that there was not much responsibility (about that was at the time of his move), he had previously tried to be more responsible to the people who support him, the number of patrons would not fall less than 1200 anyway, and he relaxed, and if he points out the reasons for the delays (relocation, equipment problems, surgery), it will be easy without loss of support will last 9 months. maybe more, now he has acquired more aggression in behavior, considering himself exceptional
Poor guy got scammed Lusty wanker lied about 1000render lol and it took him like 6 months to make dol which has like 250

From what I have been reading people are playing DOL and then lashing out at the lack of content. Not realising that l&P himself doesn't care for DOL, so playing it is stupidity.
I have never played it but I think it does not have Dylan scene, Aiden scene and then 2nd side job which is effectively the content of this update ( around 700 some renders out of the 997 total renders in this update )

Everyone is just using Unren and screaming here that there is no Content not realising that DOL and AWAM have completely different content not just character relationships. Whole storylines are removed in DOL
