Unfortunately, I concur!Middle of March is a near certainty. Shame of it is that this was supposed to be a "small" update and yet we'll likely get this small update and one more, maybe August/September, with a very outside chance for following January.
Oh well XD
Because there was no script? Maybe that is the reason for the writer? Yeah I am getting very jaded I know.To be fair, this isn't a "small" update. If I understand it correctly, this is the full morning, so it's no different than before when he was splitting the day up into quarters.
It just seems like another odd structural decision. "Hey, I'm going to change to an event-based release schedule. Except for the very first update of Part 2, that's going to be the full morning just like it was before."
Again, the next update will tell us a lot about his output, but maybe we've been asking the wrong question. Instead of asking why this update is taking so long, maybe we should be asking why the script wasn't structured to make better use of the event-based release schedule to minimize development time.
Choir here!IMO, The "Script" wasn't structured better because he went from a 3-4 plan to a 20+ plan, and at this point, L&P has ideas and outlines but no "Script." So it's hard to determine a schedule when it sounds very disorganized. Plus, he is constantly editing his story, so it is almost, if not, impossible to minimize development time.
That is a guess but, not based on his statements. I am, tbh, to lazy to go back in the thread where we have some copies of his statements post .150. I seem to remember he made a statement that the writer was to pull the story together. That is not a dialogue fix reference but, more to fix the issue of the spiderweb of paths and comments. I see this a s a good thing. I hope that the writer has the task for the whole shebang and the dev can focus artwork with only the needed supervision for his goal. If it is just a dialogue position then it is a Band-Aid.I would like to point out that L&P has admitted that it is difficult for him to write fluent dialogues. Having an idea for a scene is one thing, but bringing that scene to life with dialogue is a whole other order of writing. A long time ago, out of boredom during my time in the Army, I tried to write short stories. The biggest challenge for me was always the dialogue. I quickly realized that I had no talent. For my part, I assume that L&P hired the writer for that very purpose. And not for the creation of an outline or a script.
How to get this event?Every time I go through this scene in the game, I wonder if the postman sees Natalie's hand on Sophia's ass?
It seems that he sees her, but if I'm not mistaken, nothing in the text of the dialogue between Sophia and the postman indicates this. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
I wonder if it makes any difference and will we find out anything about it in the future?

Appreciate the effort. I had a similar email chat with him last spring. I terminated my support shortly after. Go figure. When the Dev comes back with Im shrinking the story lines and cutting some routes/characters. The writing will be on the wall, so to speak. Two years ago I had really good discussion with him (I thought) about getting a small team or just one person to help with the game. I even mentioned asking old dog to join him. I tried folks.
play the game. How to get this event?
Speaking only of this bonus scene. It has been mentioned for over a year. So he definitely knows what he is doing and had planned a long time back. The bonus scene is supposed to open to interesting options for later.Sure, but if they're important and/or long then they should be there own event and get a separate release. The problem isn't that we're making assumptions, it's that everything L&P does is poorly defined. Some of this is a language barrier thing, and some of it is an attempt to obfuscate.
My original point was that the scripts are not structured well to support an event-based release schedule. That isn't really a condemnation of him, it's just an observation.
Ok, but wouldn't that mean that it's kinda important and should be its own event? I guess what I'm trying to say is that when he envisioned these events (whether it's in a script, or outline, or just his head) he did so as part of very different development pattern. But now these scenes are sorta awkward, they're too small/unimportant to justify being their own release; but they're large enough to add weeks to the development cycle.Speaking only of this bonus scene. It has been mentioned for over a year. So he definitely knows what he is doing and had planned a long time back. The bonus scene is supposed to open to interesting options for later.
Oh boy how wrong I was 2 years ago. It's actually even worse than this. He's very talented though but until money stops coming easy he'll milk it as much as he can. Down the line prepare yourselves for changes and forks in the story just to make it even slower until the point where its half a day of gameplay each 8 months.
To some, appearances are everything. I applaud that!If he could update this game as often as GingerSweetGirl updates her avatar, he'd be a top 5 dev.
He looked for a professional in Blender, but did so rather late. The explanation would be that the result using DAZ was unsatisfactory.Speaking only of this bonus scene. This is in general for all, not anyone specific -
I don't know why people always talk in extremes. Like "there is a script" or "there is no script".
He can have a story written and most likely he does. He then uses that story to make renders and then write the dialogues accordingly.
I seriously want to ask. Do people really think that he comes up with ways to make a scene far more realistic. With the entire premise, entire ideas for storylines on spot and starts making them, even though he is already cutting it close because of the excessive CS time.
Is he immune to a writer's block ? With the kind of pressure he puts himself into how many times to do you think a person can write a premise based on guidelines. Anyone who writes knows that writing the summary points is not that hard but when you actually start writing a conversation and then slowly have to move it towards the sexual stuff without making it stupid, it takes a lot of thinking.
Maybe he can do it for 5 scenes in a row, maybe 10. What kind of a genius writer would one have to be to be able to write hundreds of premises with just the help of bullet points. Ones that were written a long time back. Even recalling how to follow up those bullet points is a challenge. Writing a conversation with a realistic flow is not something one can do in 15 days along with the dialogue and then it's translation as well.
Let's connect the two, GingerSweetGirl's avatar and the game update. But in a 1-to-4 ratio. If he could update this game as often as GingerSweetGirl updates her avatar, he'd be a top 5 dev.
