Unfortunately I have to disagree with you. The only way to make L&P to change his policy with the development is by reducing his income. IMO AWAM future abandonment is inevitable.

I wonder when the next update comes out? it's almost been 5 months.
Idk bout you guys but i've been fully expecting this game to get abandoned for a while, just enjoying it while it lasts. I hope when it does die someone can make more games/art with the Sophia model since that's really the only reason I like AWAM. By far the hottest chick in a 3d game and the CG also gets pretty good. Imagine if someone else makes a game with her but with actually good writing.

Quality of work isn't LP's issue. At least not in the way people may think. Back when the game was "lower quality" the updates were quicker and more consistent. However, when he decided to change his rendering style, render in higher resolutions and now add animations, the pace is slowing to a crawl.
Ironically, or maybe not, LP wanting to make the game highest quality possible is one of the main reasons this game will probably never be completed.
I think he views this as a hobby, not his job. So he takes leeway to tinker around and experiment rather than trying to produce a consistent product.

huh? L&P is no ones employee, so that doesnt apply at all. Plus, when you conduct your own business, you dont have a salary, you have an income. So everyone needs to understand, we are not paying L&Ps salary, we are providing income for an endeavour he conducts and we believe in (less and less).I don't know about you, but if my salary is lowered, it would be normal for me to lower my quality at work, unless you like being exploited.
When the endeavour starts failing (income drops), you have 2 options: Step up your pace or Quit. Those are the only 2 things L&P can do if income drops: Step up your pace or Quit.
Now theres a third scenario, where his income grows, and weve already witnessed what that leads to... Slower and slower development time.
So I regret to inform you, my fellow VN fans, but in this case... only proof (and i mean it, its proven!) we have till now is that income is directly proportionate with development time.
