This game has been in dev for 5 years now? barely any progression and so much slow burn, though I did enjoy the lesbian path but man it was a lot of reading for barely any scenes beyond the teasing.

He already said it takes 1 day to translate 2 to 2.5 pages of text. His reason is that he needs to work side by side with his proofreader and he writes the dialog in real-time.According to L&P there are 10 ms word pages for this update.
It jumped from 20% to 30% yesterday which means he translated 1 page yesterday.
That was his work for the whole day. Translating one page from German to English.

This game is amazing to look at, and for sure I like slow burn stories with somewhat realistic settings, character development etc.
But some of these devs seem to think they're writing war and peace or something. It's still a porn game in the end. I don't think that it hurts the story to add some lewdness here and there if it's done right.

The poor souls emptying their pockets month after month, unfortunately. It's obviously bullshit and the progress bars, as mentioned before, mean absolutely nothing. But yeah, it's really laughable that he's telling people about it being 10 pages of text, while on the other hand saying he's writing it in real-time during translation phase. It's so dumb and yet people don't care about the lies (and many probably really don't get it). He knows that aswell, so he's become lazy even with his lies, zero shits given to try and make sense with his bullshit.

I do have to make a correction. He said 2 to 2.5 pages a day back in Oct. of last year. Just to get my facts right.

Yeah I think that's pretty accurate if we were to look at the time it took to translate 0.150, for example. But now, instead of 2-2.5 pages per day, he's down to 1 page per day. Slower than ever before, just like everything else.

I wonder how much the slow pace has to do with the plausibility. With L&P seemingly trying to ramp up the eroticism, doing so quickly stretches the realism past breaking point. Hence much of the exposition by Sophia (or in this case perhaps Amber) trying to rationalise what she's doing.
As opposed to say the start of the Ellie showers. Ellie's entire excuse for showering with Sophia was simply - Christine does with her Mom. Patricia kissing Sophia was - it was a dare, with Ellie's afterwards - "Why not me?"
So I'm beginning to suspect it's not the translation itself that is slowing things down, but getting the event to make sense with consistent in-game logic.
I think, what is meant by that is, he has written the dialogue in German already, but he writes the translation in real time with his proof reader.
