I used my freetime after the last update to remake the very first scenes of the game. Because the graphics are just terrible compared to my current standards, as you can see very well in a side-by-side comparison. Everything just didn't add up, from the poses to the expressions, the cloth and hair, to the catastrophic lighting. Which of course is understandable as these were my very first attempts at art creation.

I wanted to do this for a long time to close this extreme artistic gap between where the game started and where it is now.
So, I will spend about 1 week of my freetime after every update, to remake the very beginning of the game. Let's see how far I get because it really is many times more demanding to create renders with my today's quality compared to those from the first half of the game. I felt this very well during my work of the flight and airport scene. I'll be already happy if I manage to remake at least the first day.

Now I will start with the next update 0.175 (Sophia/Sam). I'm planning to release the first teaser of it next week.

If he wanted to use his free time in this manner and he REALLY wanted to make the people that follow his game happy he would use said free time to speed up the development of future updates.

Yes, practically every thread has the guys who cry "milking" if there are two days without news. BUT that is not the case here, while you find these specialists here too, the MAJORITY of those who accuse L&P of milking are longterm fans and former patrons of him.
I am a hobbywriter and since I know intimately the problems when you do something creative, I am very, very careful in giving out the "milker" tag. In fact, there is only a handful of games on F95 where I would give the "milker" to it. AWAM deservedly is one of those few!
L&P is a proven liar, full of comtempt for his fans as well and development speed is abyssally bad and slow even for a single dev game. Nobody with just a single active braincell can believe that AWAM will get completed. L&P´s strategy is clearly the old, but proven "a sucker is born every minute".

I was making a general statement, not a personal one to you or anyone else, about several games available and the similarity of the comments pertaining to each on their forum. I am at a loss as to the 'apples and pears' comment. They are different games, I agree, but all of the same genre.

I did not go into the detail of each complainer and whether they were long term patrons or not, as I said, it was a general statement, trying to make the point that a random choice of forums brings up similar comments, nothing else.

If you believe this Dev is one of the few who deserve the term 'milking' etc., that is your opinion and I might or might not agree with you.

I don't understand why people are so annoying with L&P, patrons don't own it, they give him money because they want to, the truth is that L&P is the only owner of the game, and everyone knows the guy is a perfectionist he never does what the patrons say, he never listens to what they say, even so they keep sponsoring him, he will spend 10 years making this game and you will stay here whining... funny

For example, the creators of the Genesis Order game, they have 14000 patrons, just on patreon. They've made a lot of games, they update games with a lot of content and really fast, they really make good money. Like I said L&P doesn't care about money he does AWAM for love, he loves Sophia very much and is probably jealous of her so he will be making this game for 10+ years! lol

You said you have applied the patch from here. What did you do if you don't have any final_export.rpy in your game folder? (When I say "game folder", I talk about the folder named "game" in your AWAM1 folder).

Or you could try a new install. I have reuploaded a compressed and fixed version here for Mac (reusing JokerLeader compressed version).

This worked with no errors... thanks a lot.

It's really simple: he wants change and add something because the storyline wasn't written in the reality.
The justification is to remake the renders, the reality is another one above....
