I was under the impression L&P's own estimates were around 10-15 years to finish the game.

Sadly, L&P thinks this is an admirable feature when in reality it means we get less of what we want and less often.

Only thing I'm curious about is, if they were not reported to the police and you didn't do the followup event with Patricia where she pulls the gun on them, then the subway thugs should still be out there.

I believe the answer to that is "possibly". But only towards the end of the game, so maybe around PD27-28. Which at the rate we're going, looks to be around 30 years away.
Assuming the game hasn't been abandoned by then.

I'm still shocked that L&P has admitted that Sam will be one of the final characters to have sex with Sophia. Firstly, I'm shocked that he admitted it, and I'm shocked that Sam will be so late. The way the story was developing, it felt natural that Sam would happen early. I don't have any skin in the game, it doesn't matter to me, but it feels weird how this is unfolding.
im assuming there will be multiple endings where sophia gets pregnant, one of them being the good wife route with the husband. The others are anyones guess. Dylan, sam, maybe zac if they get that far.

A byproduct of having so many routes/characters. Sometimes, they end up vanishing for long stretches. Like the Ellie fans are currently dealing with.
Probably why he decided to redo Sam's scene (wasn't it meant to be a short follow-up originally?). He knows Sam won't be around for a pretty long while, if ever again.

Not necessarily. Sam was second last in my predicted list of major characters who may have a chance with Sophia, so not far from what L&P is now saying. But first amongst those on the hetero route.Lul rip sam fan

And we are talking about events that are probably 20 or so years away. How many are seriously going to still be interested in 20 years?
