Not always. It's been reported that Ellie has been in the lead numerous times. I think it says a great deal that Dylan just had an update and is losing votes, but the last Ellie event was two years ago, and she's at her best chance at coming first she's ever had.
First of all, each poll that has been conducted always had Dylan and Ellie close by +/- 10 votes. It usually took about two to three weeks before Dylan broke away from the pack, followed by Ellie, and each poll conducted didn't slow down until a month and a half to two months after the poll was initiated. Ellie was ahead of the pack regarding progression in Part I but couldn't overtake Dylan in both polls. This is a marathon, not 100 meter-dash poll.
One of the reasons I don't play either Dylan or Sam routes is that neither can provide Sophia with the lifestyle she's become accustomed to instead of Liam. The only ones I'm aware of that can are Don Morello and Carl, and neither are LIs.
I also have that issue about bragging rights concerning the bonus storyline. There's no conceivable way that Ellie would fuck Dylan and not expect him to go brag to his friends about it. Considering she only dates guys that enhance her reputation, I don't see any potential "beneficial" relationship being in her favour.
And yet, Ellie is the one likely to pip Dylan at top spot, and the last event on her route was two years ago.

I agree with you that L&P has overdone the terminology in the last update.
In order for Dylan's evening to be hot and he caught up and even surpassed Sam in some ways, the plot must be written well enough. Unfortunately, I notice more and more flaws in the L&P letter.
As for the plot, at least it seems to me that if Sophia experiences an orgasm, then she should try to hide it from Dylan.

I would say yes, but in his update from last year, the animations were supposed to move concurrently with CS, and they didn't. So I would take that quote with a grain of salt.

I simply don't get the reason behind cutting oneself off a massive, more than a half, chunk of story and moaning that there's no content whatsoever. It's a choice-based VN, with multiple storylines. Ellie is a part of PD13. You've decided to exclude her from your story on this particular day. She's on our radars throughout it and will play her role during 0.195. L&P hasn't left her behind or forgotten about one of the most adorable characters. You did.

I ain't here to shame you. What's the hidden reason to ignore your goddess, even if she appears on a different path? She's a plot device for that particular storyline. Let's say, by any miracle, smth more or less interesting gonna happen between siblings during 0.195 events, you still gonna keep looking the other way? I know I won't. If L&P creates this additional subplot, heading to a o-la-la sister/brother scene, I'm all for it. Pairing them together and adding up to the mix their mom later on (10 years from now) - insta cum.
There's no Ellie/Patricia path and never will be, only Sophia/Ellie/Pat is possible, you probably meant Sophia/Pat. I can easily name you at least one. Nightclub event, where she sees her mom making out with aunty, which leads to the 2nd shower and a really hot french kissing scene.
Dylan needs to catch up to her. How many times he's been with Sophia alone, totally naked, against 3 mommy/daughter events? Exactly.
