Yes, it can be a erotic novel(if you focus on a single character it's a story about how a married woman gets seduced into a new relationship), but a erotic novel that moonlights as a corruption game...
But with this enormous list of characters it's too unfocused to actually work as a erotic novel, a character takes years to appear again after his/her latest scene.
If you chose several characters... it becomes a corruption slutathon... but it doesn't excel here either, because it doesn't deliver the nasty shit that a corruption story is all about.

Ellie has events but Sophia does too.

Ellie has events but Sophia does too. The entire day is not dedicated to Ellie. Ellie events will be split into 3 routes so depending on your choices you'll see many events for Ellie on PD 16 but they will be alternative routes.
I just finished watching this update, I think it's totally useless.... the side jobs are totally useless, they're just a waste of time. I feel like I'm seeing a shrimp taking one step forward and five steps back. But that's not enough, LP evidently not satisfied with the mess of the story introduced another character (Leah), thus adding mess to mess. I am convinced that this game, for one reason or another, will never see an end.

That doesn't mean there won't be a Sophia event.
There's also a possibility that Sophia will play a role when Ellie meets Logan.
I'm saying that the most likely hetero event (biggest) is Ellie/Logan, not a second side job.

Why are people talking about PD 16 already? PD 15 is next. The current day, PD 14 won't be done until sometime in 2026 at the current rate. PD 16 is several years away at least.
