Normally when I write anything about blackmail, or feel obliged to defend it's very existence in AWAM, I hear objections from fans who hate blackmail &/or want to wrap Sophia in cotton wool like some precious china doll. I also, ironically IMO, get facepalms from fans who think incest good/blackmail bad & hate the blackmailers, (which we're meant to as 'good' villains), while considering Dylan as promising future bed company.

Yours is the first post, in 4 years of commentary, to suggest I'm not extreme enough! I was beginning to think this fanbase was totally content with AWAM's vanilla approach & you've shown this is not the case.

I'm afraid you'll be disappointed in your hopes, according to what L&P has said in the past, unless he changes his mind. There could be bad endings, if the VN is ever brought to a proper conclusion, (currently forecast for the early 2050s & counting) but these are more likely to consist of the break-up of the marriage, family & home, i.e. full-on domestic misery.

Clarification for those who just got to the thread: There is an Addon that L&P is going to integrate into the game and if it is not finished, it does not matter if it reaches 100% in everything, there will be no update. So don't get excited, you will be disappointed before your time.

My guess is that he could have got 4 circles of 100% by now but is deliberately delaying, i.e. more than usual, because of the special addition. We know from this thread, that large numbers of fans don't read much, when it comes to charting progress. We also know that every update is surrounded by an eruption of all sorts of comments. If the game is shown as finished but no update appears, this could increase exponentially, perhaps even on Patreon. This might be a forseeable hassle. As I say I'm just guessing.

We may not see this update for another month, which would make it a nice round 4 months since the last update arrived. Having said that, if 0.155 is here faster than this it might seem like a positive thing, when in reality of course it wouldn't be but it will still generate huge interest, whenever it happens. Now we wait to see whether pirates will still be able to get access, or whether we'll have to wait some more.

they always disappointed every time he released the updates, they always hyped up when the update is about to come but when it finished they always complain about blue ball stuff on the forum not on his patreon page

I probably read wrong or missed a piece of news, but I thought he canceled the addon to appear in the next update?

I'm not upset about anyone supporting anything. It helps new things get made, it allows creators to create.

I genuinely feel bad for those that support this particular VN and state the reasons why very clearly (here and elsewhere in this thread).
Again, people support a title/dev like JOHN and I have no issue with it *because* the dev outright admits the truth about the project. It's not a milking as much as his pace being what it is and unrepentantly so. I respect honesty. Those that donate absolutely understand what the deal is and therefore I

L&P is so blatantly dishonest about his work ethic and motivations that I cannot respect him as a person and I feel sincerely sorry for those that tie themselves financially to him. I feel bad for them in the same way I'd feel bad for an addict or a gambler.

They have all right to spend their money on whatever they see fit but it doesn't make it a good thing to spend it on and I have pity for them all the same. If the dev were honest about what they were donating to, I admit my pity would mostly dissipate. But he won't. That's not how his grift works.

Just for the record and posterity:
-My clock started on 12/6, just after the new cover art was posted, he reached 4x100 after 78 days.
-Art Edited with Photoshop first reported progress on February 8th, 64 days into production, so assuming he started the same day, that's 82% of the total days to reach 4x100%.
-Programming and Translation first reported on 2/14, so 90% of the total days to reach 4x100.
-The progress tracker has averaged 2/22 as a completion date since January 19th, when the reported progress was 75%/70%/0%/0%.

Anaylsis: The projection is pretty accurate for being so basic, and the underlying assumptions (weights given to each aspect of production) have held up over the last two development cycles, the former being 4.5 months, the current cycle being 2.5 months.

Conclusion: No need to tinker with it.
