if the helper helped him in making scenes and rendering then it would be twice as faster.... but she will do totally different thing... and the animations will be taking so much time.... its not like she will do everything by herself and then handover... l&p will supervise and remake everything he doesn't like... so more and more time wasted

What L&P should understand is that pplz are NOT necessarily against animations, BUT, the fact of creating animations just adds time to the release cycle. That's what most pplz, ME INCLUDED, are asking for = FASTER RELEASES.

No matter how good the animations are/will be, if those extends the development cycle further, it's not going to make us lose sight of the gigantic 16 or 17 playable days left. In the end, pledgers or not, pplz are ONLY complaining about anything that extends the releases.

If he intends to keep on creating animations for each release, may be he should buy another PC or find a good compromise to speed up things.

So basically he says the update would be finished a month ago if it weren't for the animazions, but the progress bars hit 100% a few days ago and he says he didn't even finish the first animation. How does this make sense?

If you read it carefully, you will realize that no animation is ready yet. Today or tomorrow he will just start making them. Although he could do 5 animations, as he already did with running. In this case, he is talking about 10 animations with 24 fps.

For me, animations don't matter much. But it would be wrong to say that they don't give an impact.

Of course they add something it's why i believe it's a good idea to add them so long as it doesn't impact development time all that much. It's why i'll reserve my full judgment for it until after there have been several animations added through at least another 2 or 3 updates and see if development time has sped up any or if it's still at the snail pace it currently is. The former being a good thing while the latter being bad. I'm hoping development time speeds up though. If not, i may very well ignore this game by next year. To see it going on this long and development time gets slower isn't a good thing.

But the voice makes a difference, atleast for me. It pleases to hear a chick enjoying her time.

It's a game/vn not a porno. If i want to hear sounds, i'll go watch a porno. It's just something that's a waste of time and resources that drags out development that much more. Seems to be what L&P wants to do though.

If he hadn't spent time looking for people to animate and didn't do animation at all, he would have finished a month ago. That's the message in this.

I doubt L&P has found a really good full-time one. I think the helper works a few hours a day, but for this game it is mandatory to find someone to do it all day long.

I imagine, the 24 fps*10 anims + 10 fps*5 anims are done = 290 cgs... So whats left is the photoshop part of these 290 cgs. More or less another circle 0-100% of Art edited with PS.

EDIT: this assuming each animation is 1s, if more... than more cgs.

Blender has his own light system, when you have to do all the settings you meet with this

It's not the same rendering engine, Blender/Cycle, DAZ/Iray. And it's quite possible that the reaction of the light once this light touches the surfaces is different between the two engines.
Plus the values used for light sources, intensity, even if you set the same values in both programs the results are different.


If you set: (for example) Glossy Reflectivity in DAZ, you do not have the same option in Blender. So you have to play with different values to get the same result.

it would have been better if he had asked;
by god, it's his game and he does what he wants; but this innovation is impacting a lot on the general development, it would have been more correct if he had asked his supporters first.
