Of course, what's said here isn't on the same level as whats on patreon (was never my case to be against this statement).
My issue is people who say that the only way you can speak your mind is if you throw L&P some money.

I understand! But here also very extreme positions are represented and I wanted to change with my contribution only the point of view or make clear.

Agree , I didn't lose interest just for Ellie Character , but it's surprising that people able to stay patient and discussing the game here.
When the next update we'll get 98% talk , 2% Nudes .

Our point of view on the project, as consumers, and that's a tough pill to swallow, doesn't coincide with L&P's. We want it to be done asap. Throw away all the unnecessary plots with animations and rush towards the end, which still gonna be years away from now.Your argument is simply missing the point. A game, no matter how good it is or however great the story may be has almost no value if it is not finished. Especially for projects that exceed a certain size (or development time), project planning is therefore extremely important.
The problem is quite simple. When a project is so thin on staff and runs as long (maybe 30-40 years) as AWAM would have to at the current development speed, it is almost guaranteed to be abandoned. Then even the best story and the best images won't help, if in the end not a single story line is actually completed. From my point of view, this means that we should really only talk about the inability of L&P in terms of project management and just give weight to the content of the game when this issue is is solved..... Again, and now more seriously, the topic is important and, even if only to warn potential backers, it should continue to be discussed here, I think.
BTW, I always give a face palm to anyone who tries to suppress a discussion. If at all, that is the task of the moderation.
The dev thinks differently, as I see it. His VN is among the most popular in here. Supporters come and go but he has gained quite a sustained number of them. Bills getting paid, income is steady, at least for now. Why not to balloon the whole project? When he started he had no idea that AWAM turns out to be a golden goose. For him this game became his lifetime goal. It seems dumb and unrealistic to us, but as long as the dough keeps rolling, upcoming updates gonna be flowing on a more or less regular basis. Capitalism at its best. You either support VN financially, hoping for the faster releases, cohesive story and some kind of a miracle or epiphany from the dev, which is unlikely. Or you just move along like the rest of us, whilst hoping for the faster releases, cohesive story etc.
I personally don't give a damn if it's gonna be abandoned or completed within the next quarter of a century. If the guy believes that that's how it's supposed to be, well, good luck to him. Let's rely on the patience and endurance of his patrons.

Put a product on the internet and you better have thick skin. People at large are ass holes. Even if I'm not paying l&p anymore I still get an opinion. Because I said I do. If you don't like other people's opinions don't read it. This isn't directed at any just the forum in general.

If you really think there is no better game than AWAM and no dev that is doing it better than L&P,you must either check your eyes or try to play more games.

You can call me whatever, but I'll keep bringing this up: one of his first goals on Patreon was to quit his job and hire a team - which he never fulfilled despite reaching the goal multiple times. Why? Because, in his words, it'd be impossible to teach someone his folders structure. Instead, he's been gradually slowing down development to the level of absurd, adding multiple dead-end branches to make things even slower. Also, he used all possible excuses from the playbook and way beyond.
Did I miss something?
