What? So the event without sophias somehow still related to her? Well, i mean LP shouldve cut the whole event if theres no sophia in it.
Yep i know, but like the question what branches should be cut weve discussed million times, some good stuff has to be reduced.
I must say the game is in wrong direction now, because LP shouldve not spent time investing those events without sophia at the first place.
For the side jobs, he doesnt really need to cut it. More specifically. in the nursing job, he can just make the scene where sophia wears the rag, come up with something to justify the long wait before she meets the old men again. When shes already corrupted, shell comeback to them for fun, like many characters such as movers, neighbor, zac,...
I began posting comments about AWAM in November 2018. It was such a favourite that I stopped playing almost every other game. Since that time it has become unplayable for me. Those not turned on by incest, who don't relish, (a polite understatement) the 2nd MC situation & can't accept the total trashing of the Sam route are joined by me, who fits into all of the above & has also seen every route & character of interest written out, or placed into indefinite limbo, which, given the pace of development, is effectively the same thing.
Sophia has changed out of all recognition both mentally & physically, (along with Dylan) & NO it's got nothing to do with her ongoing corruption. She's not only ballooned to Jessica Rabbit cartoon proportions but her personality has become gradually & inexorably less likeable, as well as juvenile. What it all relates to I well understand but that's not the subject of this comment. I almost hesitate to write more, because the Dev usually takes decisions & makes changes directly contrary my views. That's something that's gone on for so long, it's become predictable.
Ending the 2 side jobs would be, IMO & from my POV, (if it's true), the best decision L&P has made in years. I harbour no illusions that this has come about because of continuous suggestions, in the interest of speeding up or whatever, from the likes of me. Side job roles & specifications, as chosen, could have been better & once decided upon, could have been more believable but it wasn't to be. I'd be glad to see the back of them both.
F95 has, on occasion, been known to censor comments via complete post deletion, or removal of certain words, so I'll have to choose mine carefully but I think the slang term, "kiddy-fiddling" should cover it, or should that be the 'porn-acceptable' "shota?" This activity simply didn't fit into AWAM. Each shota event felt as though it had been written by a different Dev, using a different Sophia, however unbelievably her character had altered elsewhere in the tale. Despite it being the Dev's favourite kink, the route also felt rushed, in comparison to the rest of AWAM's famous snail's pace. There are 3 apostles for a blatant reason, (yet more schoolboy wish fulfilment, or just more teasing & blue-balling? 'Oooo, just think what could happen,' a L&P common tactic) but regardless of whether they're playing tricks or not, nothing about the saga is logical. As for me, speaking as someone who played the 1st side job, then the 2nd, (stopping when it wasn't what was hoped for), then the 1st again, it could vanish. I don't need a wrap-up. It could disappear in the manner in which my followed storylines did. No conclusion could be logical in a story which never had any logic to it in the first place.
Then there's the 2 old codgers, who've bought a naughty nurse outfit for Sophia to oblige & entertain them with, by wearing it. We've already seen that it's an especially tacky version of one of the western world's favourite cosplay/fancy dress costumes & is also well-used in the 3D porn world. Why would Sophia do this, when being caught means instant dismissal for gross misconduct, with the public disgrace & loss of earnings that entails? That care home is not a secret location. ['It's her inner exhibitionist being brought out because of her corruption. She's been liberated sufficiently to express her wild side. She enjoys tantalising old men, etc., etc.' & other less than satisfactory bollocks]. It's about as believable as being turned on by Dylan showing her arse to a club full of people. It's 'porn logic gone mad.'
Elimination of the side jobs would have no impact on any other part of AWAM. Whether they have to go because of Steam's approach to shota, or it's just to start the necessary trimming, because at last L&P has realised "something must be done," (or both), or something else, just let them go.

Some fans have been suggesting possible cuts for years, even as new characters were being added but the Dev makes his own decisions, based upon what & who he perceives, or knows to be, the core of his paying Patrons. Their views & poll votes are all that matters, (hence the 2nd MC contradiction) & this is understandable but in terms of story direction deplorable for many others. Even the side jobs needn't have been such an issue, if there'd been less characters, fewer routes & a faster pace of roll-out.
It's not true to say that there are no other old men, or shota. If there were 2 old side job blokes in order to tease the potential for a "spit roast," what's to stop Mr. Murray from bringing a friend? Only the fact that it's been done so many times before in other games, is my POV.
Shota-wise, Dylan, Sam, Zack & a cast of teens as large a '60s beach movie have provided an ongoing overdose of 'shota lite.' Nothing that could have happened with the apostles couldn't have occurred in school, or at Aiden's gang HQ, or "anywhere," now that only "porn logic" remains in AWAM. It's more a question of how young do the kids have to be, before that kink is satiated? We're talking about males & females mainly less than half Sophia's age. Even Nathalie is just 19. I think we "get it."
Everybody has their opinions on who could or should be written out but whatever those views are, AWAM is so stuffed full of unnecessary people that a sizeable total could go without any appreciable effect on the routes, or the fetishes included.

L&P can't release AWAM on Steam in it's current state. It goes against a bunch of Steam's guidelines. They are rather strict with that stuff. Way more than Patreon is.

Always funny reading stuff like that from L&P, when in return he adds more content with Dylan that was never planned in the first place. And I'm not talking about events with Sophia&Dylan, I'm talking about 2nd MC Dylan taking over the game slowly but surely, having his very own events without Sophia being part of it.
All that remains is for L&P to change the name of the game. That would take some nerve & could be terrible, thinking financially but it would be honest. I'm guessing that now he wishes he'd started out with a title such as, 'What Dylan Did,' by-line something like, 'the sexual adventures of a boy discovering a world of fun in a new city.' (Optional... '& "Milk Jugs" came too').

He could have made a spin-off game to AWAM with Dylan as MC. Some familiar characters, some new ones. Surely there'd be a bunch of people supporting that. That would be the smart move if it wasn't for the current project and the decades it'll take to finish it. Oh well.
Maybe he could DLC it, or hire a team, no wait ...hang on...

That's the thing, there are so many options for how this game's production could be improved that it's almost inexplicable that none of them have been attempted. I've had this conversation on Discord, but I'm highly suspicious at this point with many adult game developers because they all follow the same trajectory. Too many of them seemingly never learn anything from the devs that came before them. If making a game, and seeing that game through to its completion, is important to you, surely you would learn from the litany of games that came before and were abandoned. But time after time, these devs seem to only make choices that make their game harder to complete. Even now, L&P has said that's only "considering" dropping the side-jobs. A good idea that's so obvious, and yet he can't definitively commit to it. Yet we never hear him say "I was considering a new environment, but I decided against it because it would be too time intensive." It seems like it's always an easy decision to add to the game, but never easy to not add/remove from the game. Did this update really need two new characters + their boyfriends? Does he ever stop to evaluate his process?

He did have a Team. A Team of Defenders always coming to his aid for years. Most of them has disapeared. There will always be new ones, but they are far and in between these days. I tried worn those poor souls.

I find it quite funny how many players want the "Christine party event" cut out! This is actually one of the few side event chains with potential for the overall storyline!
It could be a path where Dylan leaves his mom´s orbit for good, because he finds a girlfriend his age.
-Christine is a bit of a wild child, but it is established early on in the game that she has a soft spot for Dylan. (even if Ellie does not want to see it at that time)
-Christine is a very open girl, regularly showering with her Mom and going by the fact that she mostly gets away with her shenigans, it is likely she visits her Dads shower somewhat regular too.
-if the player pursues Christine, she is mentioned to be the reason why Dylan wants to "experiment" with his Mom.
-if you are on the route where Dylan and Ellie reconcil, Christine and her friends accepting Dylan surely helps
This sleep over party can be leading to Dylan-Christine and/or Dylan-Ellie, maybe even a threesome Dylan/Christine/Ellie. Depending on the games played and wagers done, it could even be a hilarious variant, say Christine becomes Dylan´s girlfriend, but he has to become a member of the cheerleader squad also. While that would be a hard thing for Dylan, given what we heard earlier in the game, it would be sweetened by the fact that the head cheerleader would be his girlfriend. So screw the crude jokes of the others.
This party has quite some story potential.

Nice to see yaAll of this would be solved if he abandoned the slow burn model and actually built off the tension in story archs rather than backing off for the " cool down " period. He's doing it to himself at this point.
That and stop adding unnecessary scenes. Like the salon scene was completely unnecessary and wasted six months of development time. Barely adding anything to the plot.
