I also take a critical view of the excessively long development time. That's why I think it's important to reduce side stories. But Dylan, Ellie and Liam are the characters that define the main plot alongside Sophia, and cuts in the interaction between these characters will most likely have a negative impact on the quality of the game. It is good to shorten plots like the side jobs, Aiden, etc. But not the plot that decides the game. Remember, the game is called "A Wife and mother", not just "Sophia".

Please tell me how you know what L&P has planned for the rest of the game. The storyline between Dylan and Ellie in particular, at least so far, runs through the entire game. There was the fight in the car, the viagra event (whose impact on Sophia is undeniable), and Sophia has already overheard them (laptop event), .... It's entirely possible, and I think even likely, that this update will somehow have repercussions for Sophia, in an later update. Maybe there are more voyeur events, because we already know that Dylan und also Sophia have path like to watch (at least in some paths). I do not know, but you also do not know, so please don't play the know-it-all here.
One more thing, I don't think much of L&P and have already said so here. Especially his bad project management skills are a great threat if one hopes to see this game finished at some point.But what I find really disturbing is when someone who badmouths the game, such as yourself for part 2, thinks he's more of a fan than me, who enjoyed the content of both part 1 and part 2 for the most part.Do you realize how arrogant that is? Nice that you mentioned Dylan/Emma. In my opinion, this path would have been exactly what you are so vehemently calling for. Another path of corruption for Sophia.
I'm pretty sure there would have been sexual interactions between Emma and Sophia at some point. And that would have been all the more corrupt and perverted because Emma is Dylan's girlfriend at this point and Sophia knows that and even set them up.
But for this event to work, you have to build it up slowly. And yes, this means that the player first has to "torture" themselves for a long time through a seemingly irrelevant route (because no corruption points for Sophia). And it means that there are events in which Sophia is not involved.
But such twists and turns make a story interesting and therefore seemingly inconsequential events can be important to you later on.
But anyway, I know I can't convince you, I just want to make it clear why I see it differently and why I think the "delays" you complain about are completely exaggerated.
I'll say it again, this whole discussion about the slow build-up of the story and seemingly superfluous paths completely misses the main problem of the game.
Now, as for the "unnecessary things" you should avoid saying, that's a question of point of view. To put it politely.

LP is milking money from perverts who has more incest fantasies rather than normal cheating wives. 3 hours waste of time to forward dialogue without any sex scene.
